Overall: Well, I REAlLY wanted this game, and it started of great! But sadly only a few fights into it I found a stupid easy trick that carried me through the rest of the game like a breeze. Very dissipointing, might be better for 2 players, but I don't have anyone to play against.
Gameplay: Other than the stupid easy way you can breeze through your opponents that I found, this game is a great boxing game. Cool face brusing and loved the mini games. If you don't know the trick the matches are the best ever for a boxing game.
Graphics: It looked very nice, the face and body brusing and blood all over the ring were cool. Very nice.....
Sound: Nothing special but very solid. Just the standard into music and punch sounds. I also like how the trainers talk to you between rounds.
Suggestions: May be great for two players, but the fighter AI has a problem if you use that stupid trick I found. Very sad.

Overall: Great game, It takes you through all the rocky movies and lets you fight around 25 or more boxers. It has a lot of awesome features, It blows knockout kings 2002 out of the water!!
Gameplay: Once you start boxing your way through the movies your hooked!! There is a 16 man knockout contest, ther is an awesome training mode, great ring entrances and good music. The blood really spills in this game!!
Graphics: This game looks great. It has lots of bruseing and swelling and bleeding. It has lots of cool looking venues to fight from, even a street fight!!!
Sound: The punches sound good they are low end and crisp. The game sports real good music every boxer has his own music for the ring walk...very cool!!! Lots of cool taunts also.
Suggestions: Give this game a create your own caracter mode and some real life heavy weights.

Overall: You play the role as Rocky Balboa from the hit movies. This game is a mix between knockout kings and ready to rumble in a good way. There is exhibition and story mode.
Gameplay: In story mode you work your way up through all 5 Rocky movies facing 5 diffrent boxers (including each Boss). The hardest boss was Clubber for me. He has a badass combo. Speakign of combos. This fighting system is awesome. Its all based on timing and counters which work very affective.
Graphics: This game looks great sometimes and is laughable at other times. In the cinematics the fighters hands seem extremly puny but that is just a small complaint. Other than that the models are great.
Sound: I love the music in this game. It brings back memories but besides the nastalga part for me the sound is very nice. All music is from the movie and while you train you get some insperational tunes. They coulda had better voice overs.
Suggestions: If you have friends to play then this is a game thats gonna be played. The vs mode is great and can lead to some heated battles. Story mode takes about 7 hours to beat on high difficulty. Have fun with this one

Overall: If you have ever seen the Rocky movies now you can be part of them with this amazing "Sleeper Hit". All the blood sweat and drama of the Rocky series is packed into this game. Ever want to recreate Rocky vs. Drago is Moscow? Now you can.
Gameplay: You can choose from exhibition matches, movie mode, tournament or sparring is this exciting game. Excellent replay value even after you have completed movie mode. Best boxing game for the Xbox. Leaves Knockout Kings in the dust.
Graphics: All the blood, sweat and swelling of the Rocky movies is in the game. You can really see the damage to the fighters faces. Good camera angles. One particular arena (outdoor diner) even has moving cars in the background. This game has the most realistic fans I have ever seen (Listen up EA). they move independently from each other and look great. Each fighter looks the way the actor in the movie looks.
Sound: Had to give the sound a 55. The sound effects of the connected punches, missed punches, fighters hitting the mat, and the crowd a dead on.
Suggestions: UbiSoft knows how to make great games. Thank you for making a spectacular Xbox boxing game. Definate "Sleeper Hit".

Overall: Having not played a boxing game since KO Kings 2002 and seeing so many things how about this game does a good job of being a game based on a movie, I decided to give it try. First off, I love the Rocky movies. I, II, III, IV (one of the few people I know who did), and even V! (hahaha j/k) None the less the Rocky movie series is great. The Movie Mode isn't as in-depth as reviews made it out to be, but the short movie clip right before the big boss fight basically sums up all that happened in the movie. In the end, Rocky delivers a good haymaker with it's very good controls, having all the characters from the movies, and awesome bruising and cuts.
Gameplay: Rocky has a practice mode, a movie mode that spans over all five (yes even Rocky V) movies, a tournament mode (to unlock you must beat the game on normal), and a Vs. mode . However, there are only a couple fighter to choose so it's recommended to beat the single-player.

The Movie Mode does not instantly pit you against the big fight character of each movie. Instead, you move your way up via fighting jobbers. Now these fighters were either A) Seen in the brief clip in Rocky III when he's fighting a bunch of weak opponents B) Mentioned by name in the movie but never seen or C) completely made up. You only get 2 continues (at least on normal) so do your best not to get your butt kicked. After each victory, you get to train. Some involve rotating and doing combos others are buttons smashers and other recommend you press a certain punch when asked. I'll admit my favorites are the red punching bag and the one where you rotate and do combos. But the situps and jumping rope or so !&%$@#* tough for me. I'd also like to let you know now, if you mess up training, I strongly suggest retraing. My first 4 attempts I messed up big time and basically evry fight to the end I was at a disadvantage but probably wouldn't have been if I didn't mess up four times. To retrain just quit and reload your game. After you beat the game, almost all characters unlocked (you have to beat the game on the other two difficulties to unlock Mickey, the Rocky Statue, and some other one. You also unlock all arenas. Although I hated Rocky V, it's great to fight at the street fight arena. I always take the Rocky Statue and pound the !&%$@#* out of my opponents. Boy are there faces bruised. Speaking of which, Rocky features the best cut and bruising in a boxing game. Though blood doesn't drip every where, you can see a cut with blood on a boxers face. The tournament is also great if you have a bunch of friends over and want to reign a champion.

Rocky's controls are great too. There are tons of combos and although not a lot of skill is involved in winning a match, you can't smash the buttons if you wanna win against the AI or against a human who has some experience with the game (particularly a human who knows how to block well). You have X and Y doing high punches, A and B doing low punches, and L modifying punches to uppercuts and strong rib punches. I didn't train at all and I learned a two high punch to thee low punch combo in no time. This is great for working the head and the lower body.

Now this game isn't perfect, but the gameplay gets a 5.0 cause this is one of the video games based on movies that does justice for a movie. Only 2 minor complaints are lasting appeal may faulter for single player but multiplayer is always a blast and the lowest a player can get scored is 8 in a round.
Graphics: This game is overall very good. Characters models and faces are accurate depictions of their real life counterparts, the audience is detailed (they look somewhat like Max Payne character models IMO), and arenas are good looking too. Not Xbox bliss, but seeing a detailed audience is easy on the eyes.
Sound: Sound is great. All main characters have their theme music and attire from whatever Rocky they were in. The ring announcer does a good job of introducing the fighters and getting the crowd going. Impact of punches has a nice sounding thump or pop or pow and there are occasional grunts and moans from a fighter taken straight from the movie (a nice touch I must say).
Suggestions: You really can't do a sequel but if you make another boxing game with any franchise, just make the game have a more lasting appeal for single player.

Overall: I paid $30 for this game and would not suggest paying more - It is worth the $30 if you want a good fighting game or love the Rocky series - I am a big Rocky fan and rated the game high because it does a great job of making the characters look and act like they do in the movie - Just hearing Rocky II speech after he beats Apolo was just like the movie
Gameplay: All the different punches are here - Easy to control character - Training mode is easy to use but challenging enough that you have to work to improve your Rocky - Boxers definately get a lot harder as you progress in Movie Mode so make sure you get those improvements from training
Graphics: The characters look pretty realistic - Just could have looked even better - I think fighters look ridiculous when they taunt - The movie scenes before fighting each Rocky character looks extremely realistic
Sound: Has all the great sounds from Rocky - Hearing Rocky II speak was fantastic - All the characters voices, especially Rocky and Mick, sound just like they do in the movies
Suggestions: create your own character - More stuff to unlock - I can beat it on medium by using only one punch - should fix that -

Overall: I gave it low because the first thing i tried worked against every ai opponent, so single player is useless. Playing with a friend is fun though, with dodging and moving becoming factors. Its a shame the ai is so dumb, cause the game brought u through all the rocky movies, and all our favorite boxers are in the game to fight, plus a great training segment.
Gameplay: The gameplay is mostly fun. All the punches are here, jabs, straights, hooks and uppercuts. Good movement with the left thumbstick, you can lean left and right while dodging to avoid punches. There is a punch power meter that goes does the more punches are thrown. Its a good game if you get it just for the multiplayer game.
Graphics: Not bad, the places you fight have polygon crowds, the fighters look decent. It was pleasant to look at.
Sound: Sound was good.
Suggestions: Show stats for fighters in multiplayer. I beat the game with the same punch combo for the entire game! Thats bad.

Overall: Great game, iv'e waited ages for a good boxing game, and this is great, your opponent doesn't !&%$@#* foot around all the time, lots of moves and combos to learn and a great career mode.
Gameplay: Great fun, tons of combos and special punches, tons to do in training mode and great multiplayer.

Graphics: Looks great, especially when you see the boxers faces after they've taken a beating, they look great, the stadiums and movies are awesome.
Sound: Who doesn't like the ROCKY theme?
With it and the crowd and lots of punching noises it sounds great and makes you want to keep going.
Suggestions: Great game, keep it up, if you bring out a 2nd, don't disgrace the ROCKY name.

Overall: I don't care for watching boxing but I really enjoy this game. The game does a good use of using the Balboa License. The multiplayer portion of this game will extend its life indefinitely. Anyone who enjoyed the movies will like this game. Its a definite must rent for everyone.
Gameplay: The game really has a lot of depth to it for a boxing game. There are adequate number of punches and load of combos. The controls are easy to use and become second nature within an hour of playing. I like this game much more than EAs Knockout kings 2002.
Graphics: The graphics get the job done, they aren't anything real special. The Crowd is actually 3D instead of a bunch of flat motionless pictures. One real nice touch is the boxers get real time bruising on their faces and torso. If you beat the snot out of the guys face it will show it.
Sound: Good sound, use of the Rocky theme is abundant. The sound does its job no complaints from me on this topic.

Overall: Overall, this is a pretty solid game. Lots of different features and unlockables. For Rocky fans this is a great game...perhaps even a must have. The only bad thing is that to really win you need to use a lot of combos. Well, there must be like 60 or more different combos to learn. which is too much in my opinion.
Gameplay: Good game play but there are just too many combos to remember. Also, the training part is REALLY hard. And very unclear as to what you have to do. Other than those two things it is good.
Graphics: Great graphics. The movie scenes are just like watching the movie. This is one aspect of the game that they really excelled in.
Sound: Again, sound is very good as well. A touch too much bass but good nonetheless. The punching sounds are just like the ones in the movie.

Overall: Well Overall i thought this game was very solid, and definately fun. I felt a few things were lacking, but i will get into that.
Gameplay: Controls were easy to figure out, my dad can even play it. The only think i didnt like about this game was the inablity to create your own boxer / visual apperance. I also think it would rock online. The movie mode is fun, and there is a good challenge, champ mode is wicked lol.
Graphics: Graphics were good in this game. the player models were detailed, i enjoyed the facial damage of the oppenents when i pounded on them for awhile. I dont see were it was lacking, but of course every game out there could have better graphics
Sound: Sound was about average. Nothing specail, but not bad at all. Nothing like some games that seems to get old right away, the sounds and music are bearable and it does have a nice quiet effect while your groggy and getting pounded.
Suggestions: Online play - Custom Boxers

Overall: This game is just downright fun. I love the 1 player and 2 player modes. It is very fun pounding your opponents face into hamburger meat.
Gameplay: The gameplay on this title is awesome. It is very realistic, much like real boxing. There is strategy in the way you box. My brother tries to just come in and pound his buttons, but I dance around him peppering his bean with jabs. Very fun game. Also the gameplay on the movie mode is very fun. It gets you into it because they use sound bites from the movie.
Graphics: I don't know what that jackass that rated the graphics bad on here was talking about. This game has very good graphics. All the boxers look very realistic. Also the crowd on this game was done better than any fighting game I have seen.
Sound: The sound is beutiful on this one. They use the Rocky theme song and everything. Also there are real sound bytes from the movie. Very nice. The puching sound is very good too. The only quarrell I have is WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO EYE OF THE TIGER?
Suggestions: YES, I HAVE TWO SUGGESTIONS FOR YOU GUYS. #1 YOU NEED TO DEFINATLY MAKE THIS AN XBOX LIVE TITLE. ME AND MY BUDDIES HAVE BEEN DISCUSSING IT AND HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THIS GAME WOULD ROCK IF YOU COULD WHIP UP ON PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY. #2 IS THAT YOU NEED TO PUT EYE OF THE TIGER SOMEWHERE IN THE GAME. THAT SONG GETS EVERYONE PUMPED UP!

Overall: This game was very appealing but i was concerned if the game makers could live up to the quality of the Rocky series and transforming that into a game.....Read on to find out !
Gameplay: The game is Excellently structured which takes you from Rocky's humble beginings right through to world champion.Very well done. The music and cut scene's really gets u into it.
Graphics: The visuals in this game are very good compared to other crap boxing titles. The blood and stars around the boxers head when hit are all good and even a little silence when u are groggy helps the feeling of being hit.The boxers intro's are Excellent and done the same as the movies. Cut scenes are good to.
Sound: The sound is very good once again. The taunts are taken right from the movie. The music is Excellent. What more could u ask for???
Suggestions: Well alot of thought has gone into this game and for the first in its series, its a bloody good job guys.

Overall: If you like boxing games you'll love this. If you like Rocky you'll love this. The best boxing game before this was Punch-Out! for the NES. It has finally been dethroned. You did it Rock!
Gameplay: The controls are very easy to master. It may take some time to learn some of the more devastating combos and get all perfects in the training excercises, but it's worth it. Very nice.
Graphics: The character models are very simuliar to their real-life counterparts. Damage to the fighters faces after a couple of tough rounds can be brutal. This is a good thing. This game has the most realistic looking crowds I've ever seen in any sports title by far.
Sound: With the original Rocky score and actual sound bites from the movie, how can you go wrong. Punches sound solid, too.
Suggestions: Do not ruin the legacy this title will leave by cashing in and making a sequel. I'm sure it will sell well, but let this be the game all other boxing games are compared to and maybe it will be remembered in 13 years like Punch-Out!

Overall: This game is quite entertaining. the control scheme is easy to learn and the game is just fun. even if you are not a fan of the movies, this is still a great game for anyone who likes boxing or fighting games. The single player mode is a bit short but you can still have fun months from now beating on your friends!
Gameplay: The controls are easy to learn, and there is strategy to how you fight. you can't always run in and start throwing haymakers. sometime you have to work the jab to set up the devastating blows! some of the battles you have can be quite epic!
Graphics: The graphics are really good. ocassionally some of the punching animations look a little awkward. but it isn't somthing to tear your hair out. I really liked the cut scenes. Oh and the facial damage system is quite accurate. It you work the left side of someone's face it shows the damage. It is not just a random thing.
Sound: The sound is good the music (at times) sounds like it is right out of the movies! but somtimes it is a bit repetative. ("gonna fly now" comes to mind). THe crowd noise is good they eve somtimes chant Rocky! Rocky! Rocky! One Minor question? What ever happened to "Eye of The Tiger"?
Suggestions: More Fight locations and a larger variety of training games would be neat. It would have been nice to get the rites to "eye of the tiger". Hulk Hogan as &qt; could have at least been a part of the cut-scenes! But a Great game overall!
