Overall: Anyone who owns an Xbox and doesnt already own this game needs to have their face stair stepped by Kasumi. DOA3 was the main reason I bought the Xbox and more than likely the reason I'm now obsessed with everything Team Ninja puts out. The best fighting game ever with the exception of DOA2 Ultimate and still worth getting (it's less than $20 now) for those who are true fans of the series.
Gameplay: Fluid easy to use controls will allow most button mashers to get a lot out of this game but complex and lengthy combos will please true masters. Each character has a huge assortment of moves and combo attacks eash with excellent fight animations and collision detection. I still love playing as Christie. As a fighter DOA3 is a true classic masterpiece.
Graphics: Perfect. Amazing. When I first bought this game I couldn't believe a video game could look so good. Thank you Team Ninja...we're not worthy!!
Sound: Pretty cool if you ask me. Even the Aerosmith music seems appropriate. All the sounds seem like the typical fare for this type of game. Overall great quality sound.
Suggestions: Keep doin what yer doin!

Overall: This game was great for a launch games and it set the tone for graphics and sounds on the Xbox. It may be out done now but for its time it was an awesome game to play and very well done in every way.
Gameplay: The game play was very good in this game. It is very easy to play and no matter how good you are you can have fun. The time attack and all the different modes is a great asset and adds lots to the game.
Graphics: It looks very good. One of the better 3D looking games. The characters designs are good, the moves look good, and the environments look just great and you can interact well with them.
Sound: The game sounds really good in this game I feel. Each character has a distinct voice, distinct sounds to their moves, and even the environment has its own sounds that add a lot to the gameplay experience.
Suggestions: This game was very enjoyable to play and more of this quality should be brought out.

Overall: This game is the first fighter i owned for my Xbox and it is definitly one of the top contenders. The interactive enviroments are crazy and make the game much more unpredictable.
Gameplay: The controls are crazy and linking the combos together. The assortment of different characters with different fighting styles is also cool. Playing with friends is also fun and makes the game really amazing.
Graphics: The cutscenes are crazy and the graphics in this game. They can still compete with some games still coming out. The levels are beautiful and the chracter design is great.
Sound: The voice overs are a little corny, but the sound effects are good and make the game better. The theme music isn't too important, because you are too busy kicking the crap out of your opponent.
Suggestions: I think the only thing you can do is add chrachters and more levels to beat your opponets on.

Overall: This is the first DOA game I have ever played and man I was not at all disappointed at this one, but I was disappointed at myself for taking so long to play a DOA game. For only $20 this game has a lot of value. Another great title for the Platinum Hits Collection.
Gameplay: There are 16 players to chose from to play in seven different modes. Which include story mode, which tells you the basic history behind each players past plus once you beat it you get a video of each player, which are amazing. Then you have time trial where you have to beat 8 fighters in the fastest time, this is very challenging and so much fun at the same time. Then there is a survival mode that puts you against 8 fighters back-to-back and the last one standing wins. Two more modes are the tag battle and team battle modes, which are similar. Tag mode puts your two fighters against theres that you can tag in and out when you want to, the last team standing wins. Team battle is similar as you have 5 fighters on each team and the last team standing wins, however you can't tag another fighter in. Then there is versus mode which is one-on-one fighting and sparring mode which is a practice mode.
Graphics: The is the best looking fighting game ever. Period. The fighters and environments look real. I have never seen so much detail put into characters. From the hands, that have fingers unlike most games, the faces are textured perfectly, and the hair which looks great and it even blows in the wind. There are also multi-level environments so you can knock the other fighter over the edge and the fighter drops to a lower stage.
Sound: Great in-game soundtrack, as well as the fighters sounds from the voice-overs to the grunts they make when they are punched or kicked. Why aren't the voices in English? Great use of subtitles though.
Suggestions: Wow, keep up the good work Tecmo and Team NINJA.

Overall: Intense fights, hot chicks, and great graphics await you as you plop this game into your box. Be prepared for some a really nice experience of fighting and handing someone's !&%$@#* to them on a platter. This fighting game is a must have for any person who likes those really sweet arcade fighting games.
Gameplay: A remarkable experience playing this game even as a beginner. Mastering every move for your favorite character is no easy task but a task that is enjoyable and at the same time, challenging. Be sure to find the best character for you and get to know him to truly unleash his potential power and strength.
Graphics: Very nice visuals are provided for each stage you play at. There is always something new to see in each one and there are enough so that you dont get tired of them all. The graphics on the characters themselves are also impressive. Sleek and sexy!

THOSE BABES ARE HOT!
Sound: Not too bad as far as sound goes. Could've used a little better music and some the character's sounds were kinda just there.
Suggestions: Keep up the good work.

Overall: Awesome fighter, it doesn't get much better than this game for brawling. There is a good selection of fighters with different styles to choose from. The action is fast, smooth, and incredibly detailed. This is a must have for people who even remotely like fighters.
Gameplay: The controls are super responsive and very intuitive. They are so well rounded that someone who is horrible at fighters a.k.a button mashers can have as much fun as someone who can orchestrate complicated combos. The game also has an effective counter attack system that anyone can master. There are a good variety of modes to choose from. As with any fighter it does become boring after a while, but its definitely good for killing a couple hours with a friend everyonce and a while. The levels are incredible and multi-leveled, you can knock the opposition off or get knocked off yourself one level down to another part of the level, incredible! The single player campaign is short and fairly easy even for a fighting novice as myself.
Graphics: Pure eye candy, this is the perfect game to bust out for those Xbox doubters. The characters are high polygon with incredible detail on their costumes. The animation is super smooth, quick, and no framerate drop whatsoever. The costumes and hair are animated well, even better than Soul Caliber 2 in my opinion.
Sound: Good voice acting at least as far as I can tell since it's all in Japanese. The sound effects of the hits are great.

Overall: DOA 3 is personally my favorite fighting game! I mean it's fun to play against people and the computer. If you play against the computer you wont beat it too quickly because if you beat the whole game with every character you have a chance at getting Ein, and the Theatre mode.
Gameplay: Theres many moves you can do with each character, which is cool! Also it's more realistic then some games, and the characters moves are actually adapted from reall martial arts! There are many modes including Story, Team, Time etc...
Graphics: I have to say that the graphics in this game is amongst the best in X-Box history! I mean the characters look so real, and I'm suprised the movies also turned out good! All the characters were unique too, and none of them looked the same! The stages are also good, and interactive. Its not like you walk back and forth (side scrolling). In this you can actually jump off stuff and go into hidden parts of the level.
Sound: The sounds were great too! You can hear the hits and everything! Also before and after the fight the characters say a phrase which is neat too. Also their is dialogue in the movies too.
Suggestions: Make it available to Live, and make a royal rumble mode (weapons would also be nice).

Overall: This game is awesome! You should try it out if you havn't all ready. This fighting game includes loads of different costumes, a total of 16 playable characters each with unique moves, and fun multi-teered coarses to battle in. In the game you can chose to play story mode, sparring, verses, tag team, team battle, survival, and theater (watch endings for characters). Also, this game has some of the BEST graphics I've ever seen!
Gameplay: In the gameplay you may fight computers or battle a friend. Playing this game is a lot more fun with a friend, but it still is entertaining alone. One of my personal favorite part of the game is the expansive multi-teered enviroment.
Graphics: Doa 3 has very realistic graphics everywhere. exept for maybe something like a chin through a collar, or a dress through a leg here and there but otherwise, Doa 3 has extremly good graphics, including hair movment and snow.
Sound: The sound is decent. It would be better if the characters spoke in English and not Japanese, at least tehy have subtitles But sounds happen at the right time and the sound effects are very realistic. Doa3 is a great game all around!
Suggestions: Well, I know that this is a Japanese game but it would be a lot cooler if they spoke English, like other fighting games... that is my only suggestion.

Overall: Good fighter, with a wide blend of figting styles and diverse levels. Hot lookng cgi chicks, and a fair amount of modes.
Gameplay: The controls are good, but some of the more complex fighting styles/characters will take some time to do well with. Yet the cheaper moves can often make up for this difficulty.
Graphics: This is were the DOA series has shined. The charactes look great, the environments look even better and some of the cut scenes are good considering this was one of the Xbox launch titles.
Sound: The music, hear again, is repetitive and the bumps, smacks, kicks and groans of combat add some realism, but not much.
Suggestions: I'm greatly looking forward to DOA online. Perhaps new characters with different styles will propel it to further greatness.

Graphics: best on the system hands down. for a game that was a in place for a system launch. it just so pretty it mesmerizes you

Graphics: Very good actually. Considering when this game came out its graphics are ahead of its time. Great fighting arenas, and the people look almost real.

Overall: One of the crispiest fighting titles out there, replayability isn't much but it isn't intolerable. The Survival Mode and Team-Battle mode are great, but like all fighting games - it's heart is in the Versus Mode. There's nothing like opening a can of whoop-ass on your best friends and watching them try and control themselves to not break the controller, because if they do... They're going to get into battle IRL. The graphics are great and the moves are spectacular, most of the characters are balanced in terms of overall power. One's quick while the other's strong, etc. Ah... But in this title what will really catch your eye is the sweet sweet eye-candy. The lush arena's, the bouncing women...... Well, where was I? The sounds are not bad, but the soundtrack stinks, Aerosmith? Come on people! The sound effects and voice acting on the other hand isn't too bad.
Gameplay: The controls are tight, and it has something in it for both button mashers and gamers, it has a lot of moves and some of them are based on how hard you press the buttons - which I found a little complex but you get the hang of it. Don't expect a newbie to come and kick your !&%$@#* though, they'll have to have some arcade practice before they can go and button-mash. When you play it alone it's not bad, but can get boring after 30 minutes, like all other games of this genre the core of this game is when you play with friends. And I gotta say, it really shines in that area. It loses a point for the lack of replay value on your own. Sadly, there's only one unlockable and he isn't worth the unlocking. No secrets in this game at all - big let down.
Graphics: *drool drool drool* This game has some of the best graphics I've ever seen, facial expressions, finger movement and everything is silky smooth. The bouncy women are a ...treat... (*cough* Tina's 2nd outfit *cough*) and the backgrounds are... At some stages they're mesmorizing. In the graphics section, there's no other game that I've seen that can beat it. A perfect 5.
Sound: The soundtrack stinks, whoever thought Fighting games and Aerosmith go together over at Namco should be arrested and put in the mental ward. The sound effects however are superb, such as the crash of someone against an electric fence or the thud of someone's head hitting the floor when a nice throw gets through. Voice acting is ok, nothing more.
Suggestions: Better soundtrack, and a muchhhhhh longer Story Mode.

Overall: Possibly the best fighting game availiable, with the most amazing graphics ever, ever, ever in a game of its kind. And only on Xbox...
Gameplay: Fast paced action sums this game up. Its made up of story mode, which is as it sounds... Battles revolving around a central story, and the most incredible cinematics ever, time attack is attempting to beat an opponant against the clock. Then there is Tag mode, which I don't have o explain. Enjoy.
Graphics: Phenomenal. The best textures on Xbox combined with excellent character models and huge, open and gorgeous environments. A true testament to Xbox graphics and power.
Sound: Just as good as the graphics, atmospheric and suitable for the theme. Gives a good fighting feeling at all times.
Suggestions: The multiplayer will keep you forever captivated. My only suggestion is to make DOA online as good as this!

Gameplay: "Great" the games gameplay is pretty good. A minor problem is that a fighting game will get old, even DOA3. Still good though, I play it every once and awhile.
Graphics: The Best part, probably the part that conviced me to give it a 4.5. The graphics are beautiful and are probably the best out there.
Sound: Good music too. Aerosmith's songs are good. The theme song with the cats hissing is pretty cool.Plus the hit and effect is perfect.

Overall: One of the first games out on the xbox is still one of the best fighters out there. This is the third insallment of the DOA series and not much has changed.
Gameplay: Same combo and fighting system as DOA2 from the Dreamcast. There are some new fighters. The controll system is very tight and precise. If you have the timing part of the game down youll be hard to beat. However there is a lack of replay value since only movies can be unlocked.
Graphics: The graphics are stunning. The levels have such immense details and texturing. My personal favorite is the ice level where you can send your opponent into giant icles and watch them shatter.
Sound: There is a ton of sound affects. From pounding your opponent into walls to geting fryed by an electrical system the osund is crisp. Its a plus to have a good sound system of course.

Overall: I had seen all the comercials when it first came out. The visuals drew me in to checking this title out.
Gameplay: The gameplay is simply awful save your money I hear it's going for like twenty bucks now on the Xbox Platinum Series. Believe me it ain't worth it. A TOTAL BUTTON MASHER. Not much redemption in GAMEPLAY which is everything to me. If the game is not fun to play who cares.
Graphics: This is the only redeeming Quality of DEAD OR ALIVE. For a title that came out in the Xbox's first couple of months the Visuals and Graphics were top notch. But if I wanted Great visuals I would watch a movie.
Sound: The sound was decent nothing special. I guess it was serviceable. I usually put my stereo on when I play games so who really cares. Definetely nothing in the game to make me want to turn my stereo off and listen to the game.
Suggestions: Fire the guys that were in charge of the gameplay aspect of this game. Completelety rework the Game Engine. You got the graphics which were good. But I would rather have a great fighting game with decent graphics than a bad fighter with great graphics. The ultimate is a great fighter with great graphics. Shoot for that next time. Overall: im not much of a fighter type game but this game did catch my attention from all the trailors i saw for it. The graphics are beautiful, i mean the amount of detail they put into the landscapes rooms is good eye candy, not to mention how cool the ninja's and the ladies look. My favorite part is the fluidity of the fights which extremely surprised me. good game to pick up every now and then when friends are over and you want everyone to get a shot to play :P
Gameplay: my one problem with fighting games is that there is never any replay value for me. same problem with this one aswell. theres arcade mode, story mode, training mode.etc etc. but they all end up being the same thing which is just having one fight after another. also the difficulty of this game left alot to be desired. even my 12 year old brother beat it after a day or two. I did enjoy it for a while becuase i have alot of friends that come over and four brothers to play this with but after a while the hype ends and so does this game.
Graphics: like i said the graphics of this game are some of the best i have ever seen in any fighting games. lots of nice costumes to download from one of the exhibitions disk. and the alot of the scenes you can interact with stuff like crash through windows splash water around here and there, mainly little things that get noticed when your playing. you can tell the people who made this game payed alot of attention to detail.
Sound: sound is decent. what i like is the sounds you hear when your fighting. you can literally hear and almost feel the swoosh of a round house kick. the in game fighting music thought isnt all that great but not that bad either.
Suggestions: give it a more cinematic feel to it. putting english subtitles on the screen for two or three sentences worth before a fight doesnt really count as a story line in my book. maybe putting a couple of thugs in a board before you actually get to your opponent might make it a little better ala Kill bill style :P

Gameplay: Gameplay is good for a 3D fighter but its overly simple combos make it easy for a beginner to seem good and the game basically doesn't take much skill.
Graphics: Visually beautiful. The interaction between the characters actions and the environment is perfect and the surroundings are very nice.

Overall: Dead or Alive 3 is a fighting game featuring 16 characters and many levles and modes of play. The game has some of the best graphics around, but barely has any unlockables.
Gameplay: The game is an average 3-D fighter. Though some may be decieved by the beautiful graphics that hide the real gameplay. The levels are interactive, and have many layers which definatly is a fun plus.
Graphics: The visuals are mind blowing, especaially since it came out 2 years ago. The levels are huge and very detailed, as well as character models.
Sound: The sound is fairly good, though none of the voices are in english. The characters sound good, and there are water sound effects as well as other backround effects.

Overall: This game is a must have for anyone that likes action. Though the game is not a long adventure type like Halo. It still packs one heck of a puch.
Gameplay: The gameplay is great. Once you start off on single player, the fighters you are against are easy. And as you go up, it gets harder and harder until you reach the boss. Once you are at the boss... it is all down hill with your winning spree. The boss is one hateful and cheating fighter. He takes to his world where an old village is burning and uses "magic" to stop you. That is one thing that I don't like about the game but after a while... you kinda get hooked on it.
Graphics: The graphics on this game are great. Even if you are a guy... you will really love this game. And I am sure all you guys know why... LOL! But other then that, these fighters are not box like figures. They look and act real. And I must say that if this game was online enabled, everyone would want it.
Sound: The sound of the game is great. The music is really good and the player voices go great with the character. Even when they are being hit in the stomach or something.

Overall: Woohah! Unforgetable girls, powerful ninjas, ancient and new martial arts... plus best stages ever, make you to experience the best hand to hand combat.

Action don't stop, hits keeps flowing in a dinamic 'n balance fighing system, really easy to control. Focus in strategy 'n forget complex commands (nor to many butons...).

Enjoy awesome moves, addictive combos, interactive enviroment, intro scenes and movies made with best graphics yet.

All this is better if you share it with a friend...
Gameplay: The fighting system is excelent for serious fighters, also for casuals... Easy commands and intuitive controls; very close to Soul Calibur.

There's always a counter-move for almost whatever your enemy does, suddenly turning fight course.

There's some behavior in fihting system that go against real fight such as invincibility stances 'n some throws that unexplainly fail, but this behavior ensures balance.

Enough modes to play. Too much action in Tag, but it ends too fast ('n hasn't story). Survival: can you beat it? VS mode is where fun is.
Graphics: Impressive! Clothes, stages, effects... There's some improveable things, but i give it an undoubtable 5.
Sound: Well, sound could be improve. Hit effects are some way plain, it lacks some realism, but really do a good job noticing hits; it's dinamic enough.

Enviroment sounds are really good, beach, storm, tile roof, machines, explosions...

There's some lovely songs, i love electronic music. But some other themes can be easily ignored.

And movies can make you feel inside DOA history!
Suggestions: Oh yes, i want a INNOVATIVE DOA4. First, Keep all actually good. Then add:

Ripped clothes and skin damage. Cries, screams 'n more voice effects. Customizable music or playlist (a la DOAX). Best sand effect.

A perfect fight system or a new one =). Apply a better solution than to fail throws on stunned opponents. And add more ground action. Fix AI; avoid cpu always be hitted by rising mid kicks.

Add some kind of adventure mode, and make story 'n tag modes longer. Also add more story clips. New characters and new fighting styles (i wanna see Victor Donovan!) Forgot that tricky style for bosses, make boss fight like humans (like Tengu, but throwable).

And, of course, put it online as you promised.

Overall: In my opinion this is the best fighter I have played. But then again I am certainly into this type of game hardcore. Many people have commented that this game is too short. But I got this game for the specific purpose on playing it with my mates. Any for beating each other sensless, it delivers in spades.
Gameplay: Very easy to play. Button Mashers can get into it easily. Hence it is great for when your mates come around. However there is a much deeper side of it, you can get quite deep into the mechanics of the game if you wish. So I beleive it offers something for the hard core. The good thing about this game is while anyone can be competitive, a learned gamer should beat them most times. It also rewards you for taking the time to learn a few moves with some visually stunning moves.
Graphics: Kills anything other fighter in this area. Mortal Kombat and Sould Calibur have not even come close graphics wise. As this (in my opinion) is a "playing with your mates" type of game, this is all you could want. Big bold flashy. Brilliant Graphics.
Sound: The sound is great. Big meaty impacts. All you could want. It has Japanese dialogue which suits the game completely.
Suggestions: Make the unlockable costumes easiser to get. It has been far too hard for a hack like me to get many of them. If they were more attainable I would probably spend more time trying to get them.

Overall: A benchmark Xbox game with great graphics and fluid gameplay. This game should be in everyone's collection.
Gameplay: It's pretty simple but it doesn't really need to be anything more than that. The AI is a bit limited, and after a few months you'll find it predictable even on very hard difficulty, but the multiplayer makes up for it.
Graphics: Most people will agree that the visuals are awesome. There is a massive amount of detail. The reflections in the game are very accurate & realistic. All this and the game runs really smoothly.
Sound: Sound is fairly average, but playing the game just isn't the same without it. Music isn't bad but a custom soundtrack feature would have been nice.
Suggestions: More features would have made it last a little longer like some cool cheats to unlock.

Overall: Ok the graphics were amazing but this was just so Heavy on graphics It really had no real great story or play other than wack some buttons and watch them do a zillion moves! Big deal.
Gameplay: Hmmm I would Not tell anyone to buy this since, well It's really not any fun. It's kinda like Tekken 3 but with much detail payed to the graphics.
Graphics: Like I said before the only thing this has going for it is the Highly Detailed Graphics. and for those who want to see some chicks rack bounce around go find the real thing these chicks aren't that hot.
Sound: Sound? oh?! there was sound in this?! HAHA ok didn't really notice. Maybe the Kicks and punches had sound no real appeal on Music BG.
Suggestions: Hmmmm For a fighting game... It is what it is. almost a little too cute to be a Fighting game. try more on the level of hardcore Blood realism and "Teeth" Flying outa peoples mouths!

Overall: Playing the newly released Soul Caliber 2, reminded me of this Xbox gem which was the first fighting game I purchased on the Xbox, and still the best. DOA 3 has the right mix of gameplay modes (tag team, survival, vs., single player), jaw dropping graphics, very cool stages (with breakaway walls/windows, multi-tiered), and a great fighting engine. There's not a thing I'd change about this one, and DOA is my favorite fighting series - followed closely behind by Tekken and Soul Caliber.
Gameplay: A great fighter with loads of moves and combos for each fighter. Every character feels very unique, and they all match up very well. The stages are not only beautiful, but many are multi-tiered and have break away walls and windows revealing another environment to keep fighting in. Has a great tag battle mode with unique tag moves for the fighters.
Graphics: The full motion videos you unlock by beating the game in the single player mode are some of the best ever. The in game graphics are also perfect. This is a gorgeous game.
Sound: Great sound effects with the hitting/kicking. I like the voice acting, which as with all the DOA games is in Japanese.
Suggestions: Get to work on DOA4 and DOA Online
