Liquid Gears

Overall: I think this game was great. It outdid the original which was great and a lot was added to the game. It isn't a simulation game at all and the dynamics are pretty farfetched but it is very enjoyable to play.
Gameplay: It was really an easy game to play and has a great arcade feel to it. There is a lot to the customization of the cars and it gets intense when you're flying through the crowded roads.
Graphics: I think the game looks really good and the bright lights has a nice feel to it. There is a lot you can do to customize the look of the cars as well. I don't like how it is ALWAYS at night though and the streets in the city, although different, have the same general feel to them.
Sound: The cars really do sound very good in this game. Each engine is unique and the sounds whlie racing add so much to the fast paced feel you get. The music was pretty good to but I think they needed more songs because it seemed like the same 3 over and over and over and it really got irritating.

Overall: I like this game it was a pretty cool racing game. The new graphics and high speed it gets really intense. The you add in XBOX live and it makes the game crazy.
Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty fast once you get a nice car. If you add nitrous oxide it only gets better. Dodging traffic through crowded streets and busy freeways make the game intense. The graphics on the cars have unique possibilities and no car looks the same. The drag racing mode is awesome once you get used to the controls. Also the drift contests break up the sometimes repetitive racing around the course. You can also pimp out your ride for hours making your car look the baddest. The only bad part is that there isn't a ingame check off for the races. You have to exit the game and go to the world map screen to see if you have completed the right amount of races. Alos if you pass a race you cant go back unless you go to the world map screen. Also the story mode is pretty vague, but its a mainly a racing game anyways.
Graphics: The visuals are pretyy good in this game. The blur techniques during the boosts makes the game have a faster than sound feel. The traffic models aren't that good, but who cares its all about how your car shines under the street lights anyways.
Sound: The sound effects are pretty good in this game and the soundtrack isn't too bad. The only problem is that it gets repetitve and i personnaly dislike Chingy so that song is always turned off. If EA ever comes out with a game that has custom soundtracks i will be happy.
Suggestions: They did an excellent job on the customization and this is the only racing game i need. The only thing i could say to improve is the story mode and more of Brooke Burke.

Overall: When I had first played Need for Speed: Underground (the original), I loved it. I loved the way it immersed you in an exciting street racing frenzy and didn't let you go. Not only was the racing some of the most entertaining and fast-paced racing I had ever experienced (I loved the Gran Turismo games), but the amount of customization was awesome.

With the release of Need for Speed: Underground 2 (NFSU2), I was somewhat reluctant to buy it. A few questions were going through my head, mainly because I hadn't really followed the game to release (matter of fact, I didn't even know it was released, I had discovered it one day while visiting Wal-Mart). However, I decided to go through with it, and boy was it worth it; NFSU2 is the first one and a whole lot more.

Gameplay: The gameplay is just as fast and fun as the first one. However, due to some of the random crashes, walls, and spinouts that happen periodically, I am forced to lower the score by .5. Other than those few minor problems, the gameplay is great, and even includes a few new racing modes, including Street X (think small drift courses without the slick), Downhill Drift (a bit more tough, but fun), and the Underground Racing League (URL; it has a few Gran Turismo elements to it).

Graphics: Okay, I'm sure you've seen screenshots and said "well, they aren't the best graphics," and I realize this. However, they are some of the best graphics I've seen in a racing game, and the car models are very awesome.

Sound: Sound is beautiful in terms of car sounds and the like, but sometimes the taunts of outrun drivers gets annoying. Not only that, but the "EA Trax" aren't so hot this time around, either. Custom soundtracks, where art thou?

Suggestions: Very well done. Online would be sweet.

The Jackal

Overall: Overall this is the fastest and most exciting racer Ive played. Theres so much to the game and it's really fun to alter the look of each car and get the look you love.
Gameplay: The gameplay is cool in this game. It's got a decent story for a racer. You can tune everything in the car to really make it the fastest it can be so theres more to the game than just hittin the gas. Each car also has its own control to give even more variation to the game.
Graphics: Visually it's great. Gives a great feel of speed and the bright lights and night racing is unreal. The way the environment changes with how fast you go is quite impressive as well. Ontop of this all the visually alterations you can do to your cars is incredible.
Sound: It sounds amazing. Each car has its own distinct sound which is a nice change than the same old engine sound. The rain sounds great, when you shift it sounds great, and when you hit the brakes and skid it sounds great. Every sound in this game adds to the experience and you get a great feel for the speed youd be experiencing.

Overall: Race around Bay City to find cash, cars and add on parts to customize your ride. Take on rivals to win cake to upgrade and win future races.
Gameplay: Controls are good, game play gets a bit repetative just driving around town. When u first start out, cars are junk, nice upgrades along the way.
Graphics: This is were the game falls apart, sort of. The cars look great and the add ons that you can use makes it nice to bring your own ideas out. As far as the city and background, a lot more work could have gone into the detail. And what is up with all the rain, sorry but a little too much for me, if you need it wet, make the streets slick, hydrants or something, but all the rain, come on. Need more detail for WS HDTV, sorry just looks poor on a 55in tv.
Sound: Great, this is an area they did some work. Car sounds are great, soundtrack is very good. Too bad didnt spend as much time in the visual dept.
Suggestions: Maybe I havent put enough time in to give an accurate view of the game, but for me a game has to get me from the get go or i'm bored. This game does have its moments and there will be alot of people that love it. I love racing games, but this one could have stayed out a couple more weeks for them to fine tune it.
