Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance II

Overall: Well I was disappointed when I first played this game. I was a big fan of the first, and thought this game needed better skills/attributes for the chars. I didn't know that later in the game each char gets different skills to choose from. So I thought the spells and stuff were lacking, but it gets better :) It's a bit longer than the first, has a couple improvments too. I'm happy with this game, after beating it and seeing what it has to offer. At first glance I wasn't though. If you liked the first then buy this one too, I like it better. Plus more replay value with 5 diff chars compared to 3 in the first. Good game to play with 1 other person, that's the most fun.

Gameplay: Pretty much the same as the first, which is good. They kept the basic principles keeping true to the game. A hack and slash with some spells and character development too.

Graphics: I am happy with the graphics, same as the first though, as it was done on the same graphics engine.

Audio: No complaints here. Nothing special, but doesn't hurt it either. I think it fits the game. Boxes breaking or weapons clashing etc.

Suggestions: The secret/hidden chars should be start at level 0 not lvl 16. It's fun to build up the chars and choose the skills. Lvl 16 boo. The item creation system wasn't worth using. If u upgrade an item u might find a better one 5 mins later anyways. There goes your rune stones, gems, and money. Only 1 person to buy items form the whole game. He never had anything good to sell either. Online multiplayer would've been cool.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Dungeons & Dragons: Heroes

Overall: Well this game is similar to the baldur's gate series in my opinion, which you've probably already read. Though I think that this is a good thing as I like baldur's gate series. I played and finished baldur's gate one and 2, and was bored with the second one already so I purchased this game. It's a pretty descent game I would recommend getting it if u like baldur's gate or gauntlet. Though I dislike gauntlet, this game is better than that but not quite as good as baldur's gate in my opinion. Though I never expected it to be better, it is made by Atari afterall. However it does satisfy a simlar hack and slash experience. It's a short game as well, but I'm happy I bought it, only paid 30 canadian for it anyways.

Gameplay: The gameplay is good, some aspects better than baldur's gate. I like how the skill points from leveling are set up. You have better control over the camera as well. Though personally i like the camera in baldur's better since I never felt a need to change it, but with this I'm constantly having to change the camera angle and zoom.

Graphics: I would've been much happier if this game had been built on the same graphics engine as baldur's gate. It doesn't shine in this section, probably it's main downfall compared to baldur's gate.

Audio: I didn't think it had very many different sounds or a very good soundtrack. Though realistically i never care much about the sound, just noticed though that whatever u tend to break/smash sounds like crates breaking.

Suggestions: Only for xbox, yet the graphics were not even close to the potential of the xbox. Even the compass or health bars were kind of dim and bland. Nothing was sharp or crisp like it should be. The character models were no different. You should be able to teleport to town from anywhere like baldur's with recall potions. Downloadable maps online, and randomized dungeons/maps/treasure for good replay value.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Counter-Strike

Overall: Ok if you play this game on the computer, do not bother with this game. If you don't however and have xbox live, then I think it would be a really fun game to have. I love counter-strike and play it on the computer so I wanted to try this out too. The single player game is basically crap, only to train you slightly for online play.

Gameplay: This game is a multiplayer game. Meant to be played with other people, not stupid !&%$@#* bots. Probably great on live, not on singleplayer though.

Graphics: The graphics aren;t that bad, don't see why everyone criticizes the game so much for it. I didn't mind, and I don't play games with bad graphics, not good true, but not bad either.

Audio: The sounds weren't bad. The weapons sound affects and such were ok. I didn't like how it was hard to hear footsteps compared to the comp version. Can't hear anyone appraoch me, need surround sound dammit. Probably fine with the headset though.

Suggestions: The graphics should've been better. I don't think there is a reason for them to look like this. I read it was supposed to be rebuilt from the ground up just for the xbox, my ass. Singleplayer offers nothing worthwhile. Not many options for the bot matches either.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell

Overall: You all know about this game. It's a stealth style, metal gear solid kinda game, except without the flaws, hehe.

Gameplay: Man this game is frustrating to a degree. The learning curve takes a while, not to actually learn the controls or anythign but to learn how important it is to do everything precise and accurately, or it will hurt u later in the mission. One pooly hidden body at the begginging may screw u over at the end, and u won't understand why an alarm goes off all of a sudden near the end. Though the bottom line is, this game is very fun.

Graphics: Graphics weren't what I expected. It's odd in some angles some things look kinda off, like the objects in the room and whatever. NO complaints really though, the characters, and backgrounds are awesome. The light and shadow effects are sweet too.

Audio: Sound effects were good. The music was very suiting as well. Set the mood nicely. NO complaints with the sound effects, or much else in this game.

Suggestions: Yea for the most part, the map kinda is useless. Luckily it's not really necessary, but if u r gonna have it, make it good. Secondly is, if an alarm goes off because a body was found, cut to a video clip where they find the body, so u know what the problem was and don't have to start the level over again.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Panzer Dragoon Orta

Overall: This is a fairly cool shooter stlye game. However I think it's been too overated and I was therefore disappointed in it.

Gameplay: Not too much to it. Tap away at the shoot button and destroy tons of different badguys. It's fun for a while. Once u pass it though, don't think you'll play it for a while. It's basically linear, one path to go, can't fly around and explore anything.

Graphics: I thought the graphics were good. People like paladin182 or whatever are !&%$@#* ing retarded saying the graphics suck ass. They did a good job here.

Audio: Well I thought the sound was fine for the most part. I didn't liek the annoying language in which it was made. Then reading the text while listening to the gibberish in the background. The in game sound was fine.

Suggestions: Eh, make it more open, not linear. You should be able to customize the dragon more. Make it look like a dragon, lol.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Overall: It's buffy the vampire, kick some vampire !&%$@#* all over the place, and that's it. Level after level, find a key, blah..blah. You all hyped this game up, disappointed, I liked blade 2 much better.

Gameplay: It's alright. Beat up badguys, find keys, get elixirs, not much to it. Too much hype had hopes up, what a let down.

Graphics: Graphics were good, no complaints here really. Same as blade 2 I figure, but I'd rather play blade, so I will, lol.

Audio: Oh whatever, voiceovers were fine. What they said was kinda dumb. I'm 21 maybe if I were 14 the cheesy jokes would appeal to me, maybe...

Suggestions: eh, make levels more elaborate. Add more customizable options. Make the game longer, and videos without the cheeseball lines.

Overall Score: 7.0 / 10 Dead to Rights

Overall: Jack Slate, cop framed and out for vengeance. Take control of him, and his trusty sidekick, his dog, and kick some ass, lol.

Gameplay: Well I was anticiapating your typical shoot em up. However this wasn't exactly the case. I found that you didn't really have enough ammo for this, since u can't rack up a bunch of clips for guns, but rather every gun u can only carry a small amount of ammo. Like 1 clip for the guns like ak47, mp5, and colt. Pistols a bit more, but u run out easy if u go in guns blazing, best to grab a human shield and shoot conservatively or u won't survive certain areas. Has some cool mini games, though they are necessary to move on, but were easy enough to get through.

Graphics: Well I was happily surprised with the graphics. I looked at the back of the game, and the graphics looked like absolut garbage. However the actual graphics in the game were pretty descent.

Audio: I always hate this part. I dunno gun shots sounded fine, I didn't really notice, and i never notice sound unless if it stands out as being crappy or misplaced.

Suggestions: Well it seems fairly short, common of this genre. I played for 1 night, maybe 6 hours or so, and I'm in chapter 7 of 14.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Halo: Combat Evolved

Overall: Oh come on now, you must know what halo is. Sweet !&%$@#* fps style game. Kick aliens' asses with a variety of guns and even ai allies.

Gameplay: THis game is awesome obviously. I wish they had a few more different types of enemies though. Also, the multiplayer kinda sux, the maps are so small and whatever.

Graphics: Good graphics, no complaints here. I didn't notice any flaws at all in this aspect of the game. Good stuff.

Audio: Well I dunno about sound. I know it sounded good enough, didn't notice anythign bad. Not a big sound critic, I don't care too much.

Suggestions: Good thing the next one will have mulitplayer, it needs it. Hope they make good sized maps and such.

Overall Score: 10.0 / 10 Hunter: The Reckoning

Overall: I think this game is pretty cool. KIll hordes of zombies alone or with a friend. Choose one of the 4 hunters and go to it.

Gameplay: I've played this game quite a bit. It helps a lot that they have the 2 player co-op mode. I had lots of fun with this. It is repetitive but whatever.

Graphics: Graphics were pretty good. NOt the best since it's a 3rd person view and it's a lil far away. However they are pretty good nonetheless.

Audio: Eh sound, my favorite topic to rate. I dunno, whatever, seemed to do the job, I notice graphics, not the sound much.

Suggestions: Make a new one with online play. Downloadable content etc.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Blood Omen 2

Overall: Well you're a blood thirsty vampire. Go kick soem ass, and gain abilities along the way...blah blah..

Gameplay: It's alright, didn't think it was that good. Got bored of it fairly quickly though. Preferred games like enclave or blade 2 more.

Graphics: Eh wasn't happy with the graphics. I think they should've been better. CLean them up and the frame rate too.

Audio: Sound was ok, but if the game isn't that great it wouldn't matter if the sound was sweet anyways....

Suggestions: Better graphics and frame rate. Make it more of an rpg, and make it online of course.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Genma Onimusha

Overall: I think this samurai game is pretty cool. HOwever i played the ps2 version first and it's the same so whatever..

Gameplay: Cool game, but once you beat it you probably won't be playing it much, at least not for a while when u might want to play it through once more.

Graphics: I thought the graphics were good. Character models were good and the cut scenes went together nicely.

Audio: Well it was alright. NOt really a big deal, didn't add or take away from the gameplay much. Seemed fine.

Suggestions: Make it longer. Add a mulitplayer and a 1 on 1 fighting mode just for replay value.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Project Gotham Racing

Overall: Well it's a racing game. Except it doesn't have some of the things I wish it did have. Not a good racing game to me.

Gameplay: Well not very high. I'd much rather play gran turismo, that's intersting and u can do different tasks and whatever.

Graphics: Graphics were good, but the game wasn't very good so who cares. I didn't play this game very much, thought it was a weak game.

Audio: Sound was fine, but really who cares, didn't like it overall so cool car sounds aren't going to save it.

Suggestions: Make more modes, need a good 2 player mode, and online play. Add options like in gran turismo to keep replay value up.

Overall Score: 7.0 / 10 Spider-Man

Overall: Web slinging spidy here to kick some ass. You know what this game is about. I like this game, and i liek spidy, lol.

Gameplay: Fun stuff. I havn't finished it though, surprisingly. I havn't played it too much, but it's a good game.

Graphics: I thought the graphics were well done. Captured the essence of the cartoon, comics, movies, etc. good job.

Audio: eh sound, yea it was kinda good. The tutorial and stuff was pretty lame though actually. GEared for kids and my 10 year old cousin thought it was stupid too.

Suggestions: Hrmmm can't think of much. Add downloadable content for a sequel if it happens.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Dead or Alive 3

Overall: It's a 1 on 1 fighter game. Similar to tekken and street fighter. However, I think tekken is better.

Gameplay: It's alright. I think it needs to be more liek tekken with the combo system. Have cool combos easier to perform, and more for each character.

Graphics: graphics were good, I'll give it that. Tekken on ps2 looks as good to me though, and plays better so u need more.

Audio: whatever, sound seemed fine. I hate rating stupid !&%$@#* sound, unless it's crappy voiceovers, I don't care much.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Blade 2

Overall: Well it's like the movie. It trys to follow the storyline to a degree. It's not totally stuct on it though, so that's good. You know who Blade is, lol.

Gameplay: Well based on the reviews I didn't expect a very good game. However, I was happily surprised. I thought this game was fairly well done and I had a fun time playing it. I've played it for like 5 hours so far, and I'm about 3 quarters of the way through the game. It's not a hard game, but like I said it's fun. The controls I thought were good, which was my main concern from the reviews.

Graphics: I thought they did a pretty good job on the graphics as well. I dislike games right off the bat pretty much if the graphics don't appeal to me. This wasn't a problem for this game.

Audio: Didnt really notice anything extra special, but no complaints either. Sure blade only has a couple phrases that he uses, but he only says them once in a while. Not enough to get on my nerves at all.

Suggestions: Well, make it longer. Wish it had a 2 player mode, or some online content or playability. Not all that much as far as replay value goes.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

Overall: Very cool game, lots of fun. Thought the graphics and sound were great. The length of the game was short. I played it for about 5 hours on normal mode and finished it. Definitely a good rental, but not worth buying in my opinion.

Gameplay: Very fun hack and slash type of game. You can buy new moves and such as well. Nothing too dramatic though, not as if it changes the game much, but still cool.

Graphics: I thought the graphics were great, aside from the very first level. The backgrounds were awesome. I thought the in-game graphics were better than the video clips, which was kinda odd. Obviously not the movie clips, but the other in-game clips.

Audio: What do you expect, has the movie soundtrack. Nice sword and arrow sound effects, no complaints here.

Suggestions: Add a 2 player co-op mode. If u made a morrowind style game with lotr characters and this fighting system, it'd be awesome.

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind

Overall: I'll start by saying that after I bought this game and played it for an hour, I was extremely disappointed by it. I thought the graphics were mediocre, besides the water, hehe, and the gameplay a bit boring. Hoever I think b4 anyone rates this game you need to put in a good 10 hours or so. Once you get past the graphics, you'll find a huge game with lots and lots of sidequests to keep you busy for weeks. Based on hours played this game should be worth the buy, it's shame it has no online play, it would be amazing.

Gameplay: I bought the strategy guide right off the go, which I reccomend. It starts off a bit slow, but has to. ONce you get going making money, doing quests, you'll start to enjoy it. The fighting system I think needed some work but it's not bad.

Graphics: I didn't like it much. I thought it was fairly bland for the most part, and disappointing. Get past it though, and you'll be able to entertain yourself for many many hours.

Audio: Eh whatever, it seemed fine, I never notice spectacular sound in games. I thought they did a descent job here as well.

Suggestions: Well by the time a 2nd ever comes, if it does, it better have multiplayer for me to consider buying it. Improve graphics, and the fighting system.

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Enclave

Overall: If it were online or at least had a 2 player it would be much better. After you beat it or even get far into the game, you run out of new things to buy. The difference between weapons and such isn't very dramatic. Once you beat it I don't think you'll play it much, not for a while at least. The characters aren't different enough to want to beat it which each character aor anything.

Gameplay: This game is pretty cool. It's not a big thinking game obviously, but it's fun to go around hacking and slashing your way through the maps, finding gold ,and buying different equipment.

Graphics: I was happily surprised with the graphics. I saw the screenshots on the site and whatever, but didn't think much of it. I liked it better when I saw them myself.

Audio: Nothing too special here, but no complaints either. Fits the atmosphere and so forth, so it does the job fine.

Suggestions: Dammit. I'm so tired of developers not making games like this with a 2 player mode. Even if u have online capabilities which this game doesn't, add a 2 player mode. I don't expect my brother to buy his own xbox just so I can play with him, obviously applies to friends who don't own xboxes as well.
