Halo Wars Features, Website Being Cut
Big changes lie ahead for the Halo Wars community. Microsoft recently announced plans to shut down the official website and online stat-tracking services for the Ensemble-developed RTS.
A moderator outlined the coming transition in a forum post on the current Halo Wars community page. Beginning December 15, the entire Halo Wars site will be closed and, from that day forward, the Halo Waypoint forums will serve as the new official message boards for the game.
Halo Wars multiplayer will reportedly still function normally following the switch, but all of the match statistics and leaderboards currently provided by the Halo Wars site will be lost forever.
"I know this will be rough on a lot of you," reads the official forum announcement, continuing, "...I can promise that it wasn’t a decision made lightly."
