New Smashing Drive Images
Smashing Drive is Namco’s first Xbox title to release in North America, a home conversion of the popular arcade racer of the same name where the goal is to deliver a fare to the destination in as short a time as possible (a little like Crazy Taxi, or a lot like it). Players are encouraged to do whatever it takes. Hell, ride over a pedestrian if that’s what you got to do, but for the sake of decency, try to find a way around it. You can even run other vehicles off the road, which gets fun in the first try. If you want to set a statement, you can crash into a mall and ride through it, or do the same with buildings, treating them as shortcuts. The shortest way of reaching your destination is heading straight for it, so why take the curves and cope with the sharp turns? And, if you want, jump over the heavy traffic jams, and blow obstacles clear of the path. All these options are available to you, it just depends how drunk you are (Maximus, this sounds like you).
