Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer Ships

Gamers with an appetite for destruction will soon be able to carve their way through the armies of the evil with the announcement that Vivendi Universal Games’ Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer has arrived on retail shelves. Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer, the sequel to last year’s sleeper hit Hunter: The Reckoning, returns players to the White Wolf gothic fantasy world where an elite team of monster hunters attempt to stop a preternatural onslaught from engulfing the innocent town of Ashcroft. The high speed hack n’ slash game-play has been emblazed with a multitude of additional features including a new playable character, new combat moves for all the characters, new edges (spells), new weapons, new monsters and bosses. Additional costume sets for all of the Hunters will be available at launch via Xbox Live. "Just in time for Halloween, Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer immerses players in a sleek gothic world filled with hideous abominations and unholy monsters," said Philip O’Neil Sr. Vice President Sales & Marketing, Vivendi Universal Games. "Offering all new content, fast-paced combat, an in-depth storyline and addictive game-play, Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer, brings out the big guns for the latest installment of the franchise." In the game, players are again set in the once sleepy town of Ashcroft, where the citizens are enjoying a rejuvenated city with clean streets and a thriving commercial district, funded by the town’s largest employer Genefex. Unbeknownst to them the company has been lacing their products with supernatural poison ... slowly turning those who consume the products into monstrous servants of destruction. The new young Hunter, Kaylie, has been investigating these mysteries during the night. As her investigations grow closer to finding the truth she is spotted and evil forces delay her inquiries. The time has arrived for the expanded team of five Hunters to defeat the evil looming underneath the clean surface of Ashcroft and discover the truth about Genefex. Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer will be available on the Xbox video game system from Microsoft for a suggested retail price of $49.99 with an expected ESRB "Mature" rating.
