Vince Young Covers Madden 08
Tennessee Titans quarterback and the NFL’s 2006 Rookie of the Year Vince Young will be the cover athlete for Madden NFL 08, Electronic Arts announced today. Young, a 23-year-old native of Houston, Tex. will be the youngest athlete to cover the packaging of the hugely popular football videogame. EA Sports’ Madden series has generated over $2 billion in retail sales and sold over 60 million copies since its inception nearly 18 years ago, according to EA. Madden NFL 07 has sold 7 million copies and was the top-selling game in North America last year, according to the NPD Group. “It is truly an honor for me to be on the cover of Madden NFL 08, every NFL player dreams of being on the cover,” said Young in a statement. “After being named Rookie of the Year and going to the Pro Bowl my first season – this is a perfect way to start my second season in the NFL.” Madden NFL 08 will be available beginning August 14.Source: http://www.next-gen.biz/
