Overall: I am crap at dancing!! i bought this for my sisters, and inevitably I had a go... it was prety good fun, although I did look like an idiot! there are plenty of songs, i hope you can download more... and it is a fun party game... I personally find it a bid hard, mainly because i cant dance! but if you can I would highly recomend it.
Gameplay: It really is better as a party game, and is one of the few games that you actually burn energy on... so if your fat, GIVE IT A GO!! it wont keep you occupied for hours unless you really are serious about dancing, and it is not exactly easy to get used to for newcomers like myself... I think a tutorial would have been a welcome addition. Choosing your dance mat is very important... i went for a crap mat liscenced by a game shop, do not go for an unofficial mat... they may be cheaper, but are flawed an bad quality... official ones are better value. Once you have the right mat you can get down to the dancingl. the only real complaint about gameplay is that it is too hard for people new to the type of game, but overall gameplay is good.
Graphics: visuals are not very good, but it is not neccasary for this game to boast great visuals... menus are nice and coulorful, and you see a computer generated person dancing while you strut your stuff... but he will dance the same, the person dancing doesnt really look too great, and isnt xbox quality... but the game is and thats what is important.
Sound: sound quality is good, but nothing amazing... and for a game that relys so much on audio it should probably be better... it is good though and does make yous of the xbox's audio power
Suggestions: if you want visuals make tyhem look better... maybe a backdrop behind instead of the dull black... and videos of the music would be a nice addition

Overall: This game owns. its also real addicting, well it was for me. i started out as a crappy noob but now i pwn all on LIVE which is probably the best feature. great game, only downside is the crappy graphics which look identical to the PS1 version.
Gameplay: The game rules. simple as that. you start off on easy mode, play all the songs then do it agian until you master them. then you go to normal mode. its just great. and it comes with tons of not-so-simple areas like the challenge mode. anyways its a fun awesome game.
Graphics: graphics suck. 2 different dancing characters who look like they were made for PS1. its good that the graphics arent what the game is about otherwise it wud suck.
Sound: awesome new music. i havent heard one of the songs on the game before in my life but now i love some of them.
Suggestions: fix the graphics.... seriously

Overall: Definately a very fun, very addictive game that requires more than just pressing a couple buttons. You can get a pretty serious workout from this game. On my sixth song or so, I will be dripping sweat everywhere. It combines rhythm and balance in a very clear, seamless fashion. I haven't met anyone who doesn't get a kick out this game.
Gameplay: Well, this game is all about the gameplay. It's replayability is amazing. Just make sure that you buy the official pad becuase the knockoff ones are chit. They will easily wear out and you will be left frustrated and kicking random things. But yeah this game is almost too fun the only reason you will really stop playing is becuase your legs give out.
Graphics: LAAAAAAAME. That's really the only bad thing about this game. I mean I know you just can't do much with floating arrows. But I mean, even teh dancers are lame. It's not such a huge distraction though because all you'll be looking at is the arrows. But from a graphics standpoint, this game is horribly plain.
Sound: It has an awesom soundtrack. Some of the songs you may get fed up wioth after the twentieth or so time, but most of em are pretty catchy. Easy to dance to stuff you might say. There are tons of songs though, so you can't really get fed up with all of them.
Suggestions: Add a Jukebox mode where we can just listen to the songs. Make it so that you can create playlists and chit.

Overall: I just bought this game a few weeks ago, and it was a killer finding this game in stores in Canada! Anyway I managed to get one and this mix is great! Many songs are originals, and there alot of cool modes.
Gameplay: I really loved the gameplay! Theres a variety of difficulties, in which you can practice to become better. Although this game is mostly for the dance pad, so playing with the controller can get really boring. Also this game does somewhat keep you fit, and has a work out mode to see how many carbs you can/want (to) lose. Also there are alot of game modes like battle, vs, double, but saddly no couple mode.
Graphics: The visuals were quite basic, there was however a nice interface in the game. But the characters who dance are cell shaded, and very lame. I mean the moves they pull off half the time don't match the beat with the song, and are quite distracting! Also theres only 2 people (who you can't choose between (the person is randomly chosen)). Now some of the songs have a cool video in them, which is great.
Sound: The sound is probably one of the best parts of the game. Theres a vast variety of music, and even more to download! So you can't really get bored listening to the same song over and over, because theres way more than 1 song.
Suggestions: Let us pick our songs, more features in live play, tournements, round robbin play, and FREE content downloads!
Also it would be cool if we can choose a character that we wan't to be (like the upcoming PS2 DDR title), so we can see them dance on the pad.

Overall: I've always heard about this series and curiousity got the best of my and I picked this game up. I've been playing for 10+ hours and this game is suprisingly addictive. You have a dance pad with 4 arrows, and basically you follow the steps on the screen. You really have to experience it for yourself, it may be weird at first, but its great once you get the hang of it. Another plus is you can play the game on Live. It adds a new level of competition and is one of my favorite games to play on Live. The only problem I have with the game is that you have to play $50 for a pad, and it can get boring shortly if you play by yourself or don't have access to Live.
Gameplay: Gameplay is very simple: step on the arrows as they appear on the screen. It may sound easy, but I can guarantee you will have a hard time for the first few hours. There are a variety of game modes. The most popular is game mode, where you play a song and get graded on your performance. You also unlock hidden songs in this mode. Battle mode is basically for 2+ players, where you compete against each other, or against the CPU. Training mode is a big plus to the game. You can practice certain parts of a song, and slow down the speed and adjust other things to train you. Challenge mode is where you get a set of 6 challenges, I believe there is about 30 challenges total. I'm not a big fan of this, you do not get anything for beating this mode anyway. Edit mode is where you can add custom steps to a song. I've tried it a few times and had a hard time playing around with it. Lastly is Live mode, where you can battle others from around the world. You can also download songpacks, which come with 5 songs for 5 dollars. My only complaint is that after you play a song, you are automatically directed to the lobby, which can get frustrating after a while. I was impressed with all these modes, and it adds a lot of replay value.
Graphics: Nothing really special here, there are only two characters that dance in the background. Visuals don't really play a large part in the game anyway, you want to concentrate on the arrows.
Sound: Most of the songs are good, a few of them are great. Of course this is an important part of the game, and it is pretty will done.
Suggestions: Fix the Live bugs, add a few more songs that are challenging.

Overall: This game is surprisingly good! I bought it for my daughter the day it came out, after playing it for maybe 20 minutes she declared it difficult and hasn't touched it since (btw, she's 19 yrs old). To get my ninety six dollars worth out of it I use it as an alternative excercise and its surprisingly fun.
Gameplay: I'm sure anybody reading this knows what the game is about. The major complaint I have is the learning curve is pretty steep. It took me a couple hours to get used to coordinating both feet and even some of the easier songs are quite difficult. It has a good number of modes including playing on live which doesn't interest me. I use the workout mode and it is fantastic and worth the money by itself. You can set goals for how many calories you want to burn and it actually keeps track of all your stats from previous workouts as well as an overall total. It tells you how many miles you have jogged, or swimmed, and even how many times you have jumped rope. I bought the game/pad package plus an extra NAKI pad and the pad included with the game is a little better. It doesn't move around (on carpet) as much as the naki pad, on the other hand the surface of the Naki pad does'nt require the use of socks to keep your feet from sticking to it.
Gameplay is great and I don't see it ever getting old.
Graphics: Visuals are simple and most songs just have an animated character dancing in the background. A few have actual music videos, but either way the person playing doesn't have time to pay attention to the background.
Sound: I don't care for techno/dance tunes, but a good number of them are tolerable and do a good job of getting the blood flowing. I wish user soundtracks were useable though.
It is possible to download more tunes over the internet for $5 for five songs with one pack already available.

Overall: This game is, well, for lack of a better word, awesome. There are so many modes and choices to play. There is even a workout mode, where you type in how much you weigh and it tells you how many calories you burn while dancing. The best song on this game-exotic ethnic. I almost got it perfect.
Gameplay: Not much to say about the gameplay that isn't self-explanatory in the title. Arrows come up, you dance on the pad. And umm, it's awesome.
Graphics: Not very many actual graphics in the game, unless you count those two people in the background pulling off strange dance moves.
Sound: Great music. The only thing I dont' like about it is that you can download new stuff, but it costs a fair amount of money.
Suggestions: Umm, let us play our own songs on the game.

Overall: This is the first DDR mix for the xbox and for the frist mix it is very good. This mix is a lot differnt from the other US PS2 mixes. The game isn't baised on any arcade mix so the whole interface was made from scrach.
Gameplay: The gameplay is very simple but challenging. You can play game mode with 3 different difficulties. Light(eaeavy(expert). There is also a new Challenge mode where the game tells you certin things to do like get all goods or no more than a 10 combo. There are a lot new songs to play too. The xbox live support is great too, execpt the fact that you can only play one song with the same people(after you play that one song the match just ends and you go back to the live menu). The downloadable contnet will make this game great because about every month there will be 1 song pack with 5 songs. BUT! its $5.00 per pack. I'm not going to buy all the song packs but its good that you can choose and pick the one that you think is the best. There are somg games that have no offline play and are only fun online, Ultramix is the almost the opposite because playing online isn't as good as the offline. But the online is still great for the rankings, DLC and still the online gameplay is good.
Graphics: The visuals are really great in UltraMix. The backround animations for all the songs are great. The backround dancers are great too, but theres only two dancers you can have and you can't choose from. In the song "Do that thang" theres a full music video of that song in the back round and its really a good thing(exept for the half naked men)
Sound: The sound really makes DDR. Its all about the songs, and I think there are a great slection of songs in this mix. Theres a lot of songs from older arcade DDR mixes, theres songs from other music games, theres new songs. Theres a lot to choose from in total theres 51 songs once you've unlocked everything. Theres a wide varity of different styles of music, theres some slow songs and Ballads, some instramental, house, trance, techno, all that good stuff. Theres two different announcers that you can have at any given time. Once male and one female announcer.
Suggestions: Better XBL muliplayer, You join the lobby and then the host picks the song and all the 4 people can play on different difficulties, and different mods, Then after the song is over then you go back to the lobby and the host picks a new song and you could play for a longer time with the same people.
