DC Studios Aquires Dream Mechanics INC.

DC Studios Announces Major Acquisition DC Studios today announces a substantial acquisition that will further strengthen its place in the marketplace and signals the company’s move into the online and massively multiplayer space. DC Studios has just closed the purchase of Montreal based DREAM MECHANICS INC, a creator and developer of massively multiplayer on line gaming technology. The company has produced products for many of the film studios including the world’s first game that was created in parallel with an airing TV series. Alias Underground, based on the ABC show of the same name, was developed using the company’s proprietary TRIMORPH system and allowed ABC to release a new gaming episode every 5 weeks. Alias has so far received in excess of 500,000 downloads and is extremely popular amongst its users. Dream Mechanics is currently working with ABC, Disney, CBC Television and others on high profile properties Dream Mechanics creates state of the art software tools to create and deliver 3D virtual worlds over the internet.
