Intec Partners With WWE
Intec, Inc., a leading manufacturer of cross-platform video game accessories, announced today it has secured a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: WWE)(WWE) for the accessory licensing rights to WWE’s video game-related brands. Intec is launching its first WWE-branded high-performance video game controller as WWE’s 20th Anniversary approaches. The controller will be unveiled in conjunction with WWE’s Wrestlemania XX event in Madison Square Garden and related retail events surrounding this anniversary celebration. "Intec and WWE are both top entertainment brands. Intec is a leader in video game accessories while WWE is a leader in live and TV entertainment. The combination of these two quality brands will deliver top-performance gaming gear for the hardcore and mass gamer alike," said Mark Stanley, VP of Marketing for Intec. Intec plans to launch a number of specialized controllers featuring a variety of WWE brands to enhance gamers’ experience while they play best-selling franchise games like RAW and Smackdown!, as well as for use with all other major console video games. Specifics on other products under development were not disclosed.
