Dynasty Warriors 5 Cleared For This March

Koei today announced Dynasty Warriors 5 Empires, the next generation redux of the popular series, is headed to Xbox 360 on March 28 with an MSRP of only $39.99. This marks the cheapest price for any Xbox 360 game to date and falls in line with EA's newly announced pricing tier for current generation console games. With massive armies hacking it out on screen at once, this game lends itself perfectly to the advanced processing power of Xbox 360. You can view the box art here. “Dynasty Warriors has become an essential part of the complete video game experience. As we step into this new era of gaming, we have see Xbox 360 as a powerful platform for what is already the world’s most advanced melee combat engine,” said Amos Ip, Vice-President of Sales and Marketing for KOEI Corporation. “This coming March, video gamers can anticipate a masterful gaming experience rich in action and strategy that only the Dynasty Warriors series can provide.” Game description: DW5E gives armchair generals total control of their kingdom. Now, gamers can issue direct orders to each officer or signal general commands to officers on the field. Players will order when the army will take the offensive, defend their ground, or have all officers gather for an ambush. Gamers can also choose the officers for an attack force, entice captives into joining the kingdom’s service and even expel officers from the kingdom. There’s even greater authority over Government, Product Development, Diplomacy and Battle Tactics with the game’s 25 new policies for a total of 75 in all. The game’s imperial-sized action includes 4 scenarios to unlock, 2-Player Co-Op play in “Empire” and “Free” modes, new items to unlock, and control of over 200 officers! Once the dust has settled, there’s the real history of Ancient China to discover in the game’s detailed Encyclopedia. DW5E is the first appearance of the Tactical Action mega-series on Xbox 360. With features exclusive to Xbox 360 including widescreen graphics presented in full 720p and Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, the game delivers the most stunning and detailed portrayal of the Dynasty Warriors ever. Gamers will feel as though they were pulled onto the battlefield as battlecries and stampeding soldiers come from every direction.
