Jessica Simpson Is September Artist Of The Month
Jessica Simpson, one of the sexiest and most sought after women in entertainment, will be featured as the Xbox Live® Artist of the Month for September. Xbox Live members can now download a free version of Jessica’s smash hit music video, "A Public Affair," the title track from her new album. This sexy music video, from X-Men 3 director Brett Ratner, is currently ranked number 3 on MTV’s Total Request Live. Additional rewards for Xbox Live members include exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the video for "A Public Affair," and an opportunity to win an Xbox 360™ and a copy of Jessica’s new CD. Jessica’s fifth solo album, A Public Affair, was released on August 29 by Epic Records. Simpson boasts songwriting credits on 9 out of the 14 tracks produced by some of the most sought-after producers in the business, including Lester Mendez, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, Cory Rooney, Scott Storch, and Stargate. The album is a true reflection of her growth both personally and musically, showcasing her diverse range of artistic influences. The album features up-tempo dance tracks, ballads, and a beautiful cover of "Let Him Fly," originally recorded by her personal favorite, Patty Griffith. Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Jessica began her performing career by sharing the stage with famous gospel acts such as Kirk Franklin, God’s Property, and Ce Ce Winans.
