Overall: This game impressed me by the beautiful environments and intense battle scenes. In this FPS, I guess is what you would call it, you do not control one person and you never fire a shot. You control two teams of four soldiers, you tell them where to go, when to shoot and when to hold there fire.
Gameplay: The game was originally made for the U.S. Army, they did change a few thing for the consumers. However, the original game is available by entering a cheat code. The battles that go on in this game are incredible. The way you move and control the teams is very unique and very immersing.
Graphics: The environments are rendered perfectly, there are things blowing across the road by the wind, civilians running for cover, and when you shoot bullet holes show up on almost everything. It is one of the best looking games.
Sound: Weapon and grenade sounds are super realistic. The voice-overs of the two teams are very well done.
Suggestions: Don't change anything for the second game, and thank-you for the extra levels on Xbox Live.

Overall: A very cool game that puts you in control of two squads of 4. Strategically move them through cities keeping in mind that they need to have cover and yet be able to see the enemy. I think this game is really original. Like a mix of Command&Conquer and Ghost Recon. A must have for any military game fanatic.
Gameplay: Very clean but at times, difficult. Once you become a master, the game is almost flawless. I like being able to control the Alpha and Beta units and sometimes Charlie, depending on the mission. The stratedgy involved in the game is something that gives this game its unique quality. The game makes you think ahead but it always keeps you on your feet. I like how it gives you the idea of how difficult it is for the military to move through unkown, hostile, foreign cities.
Graphics: Very nice and appealing, visually. I like the graphics very much. The realism is, dare I say, unreal. The camera control could have been better though. The attention to detail is amazing and something that is easily recognized as a point of excellence.
Sound: The sounds of guns firing and explosions all over this game. Very cool and it adds the intensity the game needs. The soundtrack was mediocre at best but nothing too off-landish.
Suggestions: Sequal.

Overall: a great game, offering a different take on a familiar genre... some complain that you can not shoot, or get in on the action... but they should have read the lable... this is not an FPS, it is a war strategy game... and a very good one at that
Gameplay: controls might take a bit of time to get used to, but once you have grasped them, you will be yelling out orders left, right and centre. while fighting on the the field you have to have your wits about you, strategy plays a major part in the game... running into the field with all guns blazing just does not work. enemy AI is not bad, but they dont exactly seem inteligent. with online multiplayer, and 2player campaign longetivity is extended, and enjoyment is increased.overall gameplay is a fun athnospheric and intuitive strategy experience.
Graphics: graphics are good, but dont really use the full potential of the xbox's graphical power however textures are very nice, and lighting effects are great... overall the game portraits a good detailed and atmospheric environment.
Sound: sound is good, and soldiers talk amongst themselves on the field, explosions, gunfire and environment sounds are all recreated nicely.
Suggestions: maybe some graphical improvements, and the oportunity to play as the oposing forces.

Overall: Pretty good game, escpecially if you play in surround sound...but uh...moving on. Yea, this game is one of a kind...it gets you an awesome hands on on what the army is really like....at least, in my opinion.
Gameplay: Very Realistic, ummm the birds were a nice touch. I like the way it cuts to a cutscene when one of your guys gets hit. Thas why i mostly stood my guys in the middle of the street so they could be the ones gettin shot and not me...way to take one for the team guys...
Graphics: Graphics....oh boy this otta be fun...but yea, the graphics were really, ummmmm, yea. They were decent. But they could've been better, but i decided to be genorous with the score cause thas how i am....
Sound: In surround, AWESOME! On the regular boob tube....not too great but i always played it with my surround on so i had nothin to worry bout...but very nice sounds when it came down to throwin out commands to your privates....hehe get it?
Suggestions: nice blood and gore reaction...but IF you make another game....perhaps let the gamer be the one firing....im the type of person that comes how from school and likes to shoot things....and no im not talkin bout things around my neighborhood. I like to shoot things in a game...ahhh nothin like shootin a good terrorist after bombin a test....wouldn't you say?

Overall: wow what a game!!!mostly been playin it online and it's the best game i have played this year.Really have to use your wits instead of running around in a rainbow six/counterstrike way.The single player game is also amazing with a good tutorial to get u ready for battle!
Gameplay: You take control of two units bravo alpha. You neeed to set both teams up to proptect each over in fire attacks, stand around in open areas running around will get u killed in seconds. This is all about stratigy..Ie finding the best tactic to taking out the enemy.theirs no better satisfaction in killing the enemy with a m203!!!!
Graphics: They have spent a good amount of time on the graphics and it shows! They are amazing, with great explosions to sharp detailed soldiers and really true to life looking gun's(in one word perfect)
Sound: The sounds in this really make you feel you are there right in with the action with great dramatic music thrown in.Sound superb through my suround system in 5.1 and is definetly the strongest part of ths game!
Suggestions: Being able to take over the 50 cal mounted machine guns would be a nice touch, and maybe some indoor level's.Other than that hurry up and make us another one!!

Overall: I hate this game because it is addicting and the saving is stupid. I didn't like it but i kept playing it because it was addicting. You can'
t shoot all you do is watch. The tutorial is pointless and boring.
Gameplay: I hate this game. It is annoying because you cant shoot. The game is just pointless. It is not a good game.
Graphics: It has great visuals. Everything is finely tuned. The birds are very realistic. Everything is all right here.
Sound: No sound and that is a good thing all you hear is orders.
Suggestions: Don't make another one.

Overall: when i first got this game i thought it was going to be boring because i dont get to shoot. But i found out its better like this, and its nice to see people listen to you.

(my little brother never listens to me)
Gameplay: the new gameplay is totally cool and
the way the soldiers position themsleves to your commands is cool also. the movement cursor also tells you what positions the soldiers will take before you move to that place.
Graphics: this game has the most awesome graphics in the gameworld so far. better than halo as far as im concerned. it looks that great!
for example if you increase the gamma to almost full youll see it go more brighter and sharper.
Sound: the sounds are so realistic the grenades and explosions sounds like it just blew up in your face(only with sorround sound)
Suggestions: put more missions and make the gunfire more realistic like the original simulator of the u.s. armys weapons

The Jackal

Overall: Pretty good game which is unlike any other ive seen on the Xbox. But i think the co-op will get too repetative over time and the game will lose its taste fast. Things arent fun when you know where everything will be everytime.
Gameplay: The gameplay is pretty cool. Ilike the new concept for gameplay style they have. But I wish the online play was not just co-op. Deathmatch in some form would be much better.

Graphics: The environment where the battles took place were very well designed and went well with the feeling you get for the Wars going on today. But i wish the environment was more interactive like with being able to go inside more buildings instead of being totally restricted to the streets.
Sound: The sounds were great in this game. The explosions and gun fire was very realistic and doesnt leave much room for improvement.

Overall: I HATE war games! I HATE war movies. They are jus not fun too me. EXCEPT THIS GAME!!! OMG!! This game blew me away!!! This is the first war game I've have ever played, and it is now one of my FAVORITE XBOX GAMES!!!! THERE IS NO OTHER WAR GAME LIKE THIS, ITS ONE OF A KIND!!!
Gameplay: First of all, YOU DO NOT SHOOT IN THIS GAME! but its still the FUNNEST war game ever! This game is a simulation of the actual army. You give your 2 teams (Bravo and Alpha) commands. You tell them where to move, how to move, where to shoot...etc. This game has tons of hours of play time (contrary to popular belief) Play the game on Sargeant mode, then play the original ARMY VERSION of the game (there a code to get that), then re-play the game on the hard difficulty (Sargeant Major), then finally, play the game co-op via XBOX LIVE. that equals TONS of gameplay!!
Graphics: BEST VISUALS FOR A WAR GAME EVER!! everything looks EXCELLENT! The atmosphere looks so good you think Zekistan (fitional country where the war is) is an actual real country in the Middle East!! The cars look excellent, especially when they are destroyed and you see bullet holes in them. I've never seen better bullet holes in a videogame!!! Sometimes i sit there and stare at the bullet holes that are on the car, lol! The cracks in the ground and on the buildings are excellent. the power lines are excellent. It really does look like a real country!
Sound: OMG, dont get me started on the sound!! This game also has the best voice acting ever in a videogame! You never get tired of what the troops say, cause they say so many different things! and they have some VERY funny conversations sometimes!! The gunfire is excellent. when you walk up too a dead body you can hear the buxxing of flies (in the army mode)!!!! THe flies sound so real, you think they are actually in your ear!! Everything jus sounds so real you think you are in the battle!!!
Suggestions: MAKE A 2ND ONE!!!! AND A 3RD!!!!

Lone Wolf 4
Date reviewed: June 4, 2004.

Overall: Fantastic, a squad based, tactical, third person, action, shooter to go down in the ages as the best of it's kind...It's the only of it's kind? Well then yeah that too.
Gameplay: The tutorial is absolutely necessary, as even the most seasoned veterans will have control issues to begin with, but it's like a baseball glove, the more you work with it, the better it gets, and good god after an hour or so, it's solid.
Graphics: Superb! The lighting effects, physics, and even the gear on the back of the troops moves with such precision. Most of the time you don't get close enough to the enemy to see them (instant death) but it holds up great.
Sound: BOOM! the house rattles, not due to any bomb like the ones in Iraq, but due to the kick ace sound quality as your surround sound blows tit's speakers. Superb!
Suggestions: Multiplayer. 2 v 2 co op is great but the amusment wears off quickly. oh and add system link, thats something that should always be optional, that was sloppy.

Hammertime
Date reviewed: June 3, 2004.

Overall: Overall, this game is tizzight. From what I have played I have totally enjoyed. Perspective is third person and overall the game is polished. The AI could be tightened up a bit( how many ******* times do I have to tell my squad to take cover?) Overall very good. Replay value could be limited but regular content DL should solve the problem.
Gameplay: Basically the whole game is a set of missions, which you can play by your lonesome self or with a buddy. It is much more fun playing over XBL, and for those wondering, there is NO splitscreen. Like I said before this is third person and NOT a shooter. Instead, you are the eye in the sky commanding the chaos. Some people might not like that they are not actually doing the shooting, but I find it a nice relief from just a boring FPS. You need to use strategy to survive otherwise you will end up dead quick. My only real gameplay complaint is the fact that sometimes your squadmates do really STUPID ****. Most of the time though, this is not a big problem.
Graphics: Graphics are pretty good. They could have been better, but it is nice enough. The explosions are cool, cause everybody loves to see **** get blowed up. :)
Sound: One of the strongest aspects. When the poo hits the fan, your surround sound will let you know. Also, hearing what your squadmates had to say was funny. They definately aren't G-rated!
Suggestions: As always content DL extends the life of any game, so please help a brother out.
