Not only have reports of hitman Agent 47’s next-gen death been greatly exaggerated, he’s also managed to scrounge up some new work in the present. Current owners of Hitman: Absolution can now download a FREE, brand new, official contract to complete.

Square Enix lays off half of IO Interactive
It doesn’t seem to get any easier for the western studios owned by Square Enix. The developer behind the Hitman franchise was cut down to half by the Japanese publisher, reportedly in order to refocus solely on a future "Triple-A" Hitman title.

Sheesh, as soon as someone confirms a next generation of consoles is coming, all the stragglers jump ship to the next big thing. No big surprise, you’ll have to wait for the Xbox 720 to play the next Thief game now. At least it’s coming, though.
Paul Walker to star in the next Hitman movie
Will Hollywood ever learn?!? Paul Walker of Fast and Furious fame will be starring as Agent 47 in the next film based on the Hitman franchise, replacing Timothy Olyphant, who was also horribly miscast as our favorite bald assassin.
Square Enix Announces Hitman HD: Trilogy
Square Enix today announced HITMAN HD: TRILOGY, a deadly combination of games including Hitman Contracts, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman Blood Money.
Hitman: Absolution Announced for 2012
