Hitman 2: Silent Assassin

Overall: Overall, this is an excellent game. Just from the intro alone, I could tell that this game is going to kick ass! This is definitely not one of those "commando" type games where you just rush in and spray the room with bullets. Hitman 2 requires lots of brains and strategy. Also, it has a lot of replay value because there are so many different ways to play/complete a mission. Hell, I've replayed the first mission 4 times, just to see if I can improve on my stealth techniques. As for the graphics . . . . Awesome! After playing Hitman 2, you will realize that a mind is actually a terrible thing to have. This game is difinitely worth the $50.

Gameplay: Wow! What can be better than sneaking up on a target, puting a bullet in his head, draging his lifeless body to a discrete place and then changing into his clothes so you can infiltrate the enemy site without raising suspicion? Well, instead of blowing his brains out, you could cut his throat or use a dart filled with chloroform. And this is why this game is so awesome. There are just so many different ways to kill. While I'm playing this game, I'm constantly thinking of how I can kill the enemy quickly and discretely. However, this game does have its flaws. Controlling 47 is very simple and easy, but the targeting system can be inaccurate at times. During one mission, I had the crosshair right on the target's head, and yet, I missed him completely when I fired the gun. And I was only 5 feet away. Another problem has to do with selecting weapons. If you do it too fast, sometimes 47 drops the weapon you're currently holding before switching to the newly selected weapon. Luckily, this only happens once in awhile. Overall, this is still an awesome game.

Graphics: The graphics are simply stunning. I haven't seen graphics this good on an Xbox game since Halo.

Audio: The sound effects are very realistic, especially if you have surround sound.

Suggestions: 1. Better targeting system

Overall Score: 9.0 / 10 NFL Fever 2003

Overall: I did not buy the 2002 version, so I can't compare the two. However, NFL Fever 2003 is a good football game. It has a lot of fast, hard hitting action. Even a newbie to football will be able to enjoy this game from the start. The Training Camp, Chalk Talk, and Recommended Plays will definitly benefit the rookies. The graphics are just spectacular and this is evident during the action as well as in the replays and the Pepsi Hightlight Reel.

Gameplay: The action is fast and exciting. Picking plays and calling audibles are easy to do. Some of the tackles are truly "bone cruching." Overall, the controls are pretty smooth. This is especially true when you're on offense. However, defense is a different story. Switching between defensive players is a bit hard. Sometimes it takes a few seconds and this can be frustrating when you only have a second to tackle your man before he bolts pass you for a touchdown. Even more frustrating is that at times, hitting the X button will only switch you to the defensive player who is the 2nd closest (not the closest) to the ball. I let out a few 4-letter words when that happens.

Graphics: Without a doubt, the graphics are the best part about the game. It is just stunning! Even the fans and the people on the sidelines react to the action as its happening. The awesome graphics really add to the realism of the football game. You only have to play this game for a few seconds to be mesmerized by the graphics.

Audio: The sound effects are just okay, nothing spectacular. The Main Menu music becomes annoying after a while. The commentaries aren't bad, however, they do become redundant.

Suggestions: 1) tune-up the defensive controls

2) better/more commentaries to reduce the monotonous tone and repetitiveness

Overall Score: 8.0 / 10 Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon

Overall: Overall, this game is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. True, this game is not without faults but I still had fun playing it. Being a long time fan of Bruce Lee movies, the moves, techniques and gestures in the game are truly authentic. My biggest gripe is the camera angle. At times, an object in the environment will block the view of Bruce while the "bad guy" beats you to a pulp. Moving around during the fight is also hard, especially when you want to switch between the left & right side of your opponent.

Gameplay: The action is fast, hard-hitting and non-stop. This is definitely a "button smashing" game, albeit in a good way. However, when fighting the Bosses, you have to use strategy and not just trade blows with them. Not only are the Bosses vulnerable to different techniques, but you also have to vary the techniques that work or else they will just block your moves. What really saves this game, in my opinion, is the storyline. It isn't some cheesy plot commonly found in most martial arts games. The plot makes you want to keep clearing levels so you can find out what happens next.

Graphics: I really have no complaints about the graphics. Bruce Lee, the main Bosses, thugs and ninjas look great. The background was especially well done. Unfortunately, this game doesn't allow you to explore the environment (which is another one of my gripes).

Audio: The sound definitely could've been a lot better. The background noises are okay, but the other sound effects become repetitive. The soundtrack during the fighting is monotonous and boring.

Suggestions: I have 3 suggestions:

(1) fix the camera angle
(2) include better soundtracks
(3) allow for more interactions with the environment

Overall Score: 7.0 / 10
