Shenmue I & II Releasing in late August
Fans of the original Shenmue games, released on the ill-fated Dreamcast, will be happy to know that they can play the game on the Xbox One this summer. SEGA has announced that Shenmue I & II will launch both physically and digitally on August 21, 2018.
From today, Shenmue I & II is available to pre-order digitally on the Xbox Marketplace with a 10% discount ahead of its launch on August 21, 2018. The physical edition is available to pre-order from US retailers and comes complete with a double-sided poster starring fan-favourite characters from the hit saga as well as reversible cover art featuring original artwork.
This new release of both games is said to be the definitive version of these SEGA classics and will be the best Shenmue experience to date. The re-release will contain all-new modernised features including fully scalable screen resolution, choice of modern or classic control schemes, PC graphics options, an updated user interface and the option to enjoy either the original Japanese or English voiceovers.
