Ubisoft Is Not For Sale
UBISOFT IS \"NOT FOR SALE\" The French publisher rules out a buyout and says that Ubisoft is on the acquisition trail despite those EA rumours Ubisoft chairman Yves Guillemot has stated again that his company is \"not for sale\", but added that it would consider any appropriate offers. Speaking to French weekly La Vie Financiere, Guillemot said: \"Let this be clear: we are not for sale, that said, sector consolidation is inevitable. In these conditions, if a company offers a strategy and a price satisfactory for staff and shareholders, we will look at it.\" On EA itself, Guillemot added: \"We think that it\’s more in Electronic Arts\’ interest that Ubisoft remains independent and achieves a strong growth of its revenues and earnings.\" Guillemot also said that the publisher which numbers Splinter Cell, Far Cry and King Kong among its franchises was considering several acquisitions. \"Nothing has been signed but we are looking at two or three deals with companies whose turnover does not exceed EURO 100 million (USD 118 million),\" he said. \"Nothing has been signed.
