Overall: First and the very first lightgun game for Xbox, even this is the third installment. Back in time, when i first saw soem screenshots about this game, i though it will be cel-shaded graphics which is just so lame but after Sega has confirmed, it look better.
Gameplay: You can play as Lisa or G, who are investigate a complex that Thomas Rogan, the father of Lisa, was disappeared with hs team two weeks ago. When they arrived there, something really go wrong about that complex, zombies are everywhere! Now, forget about a cheap pistol with 6 bullets, now you got a shotgun in your hand to deal with the zombies. There are only 3 stages but with many branching-paths for your discoveries. But even that, it's just too short, there are no bonus missions, training or anything in the kind. Sure, you can unlock HotD 2 but this is just like a old stuff.
Graphics: Yup, no cel-shaded zombies around this time, everything is just looking good in 3d like pre-rendered graphics.
Sound: Sound are use to have heavy metal or some kind of but a game like this one, do not need some great tunes. :)

Overall: House of the Dead 3 is the 3rd installment in the popular arcade seris House of the Dead. The game features beautiful graphics, great sound, and a bunch of fun light gun action!
Gameplay: The gameplay in HOTD3 is fairly simple, it's pretty much shoot whatever you see on the screen. There are variations like the save your partner sequences, but for the most part, it's mindless zombie blasting action. Sadly, HOTD3 is about 30 minutes long, and HOTD2 (which can be unlocked) is just a little longer. There's good shootin, but just not enough of it.
Graphics: The game's visuals are great. Zombies look great, and the levels are highly detailed! The game also stays at a constant frame rate.
Sound: From moans to the character voices, they sound good, but the dialouge isn't the best. The music also seems kinda campy and cartooney for a horror game
Suggestions: A longer game!!! 30 minutes of new stuff isn't acceptable! Even if it's fun to replay!

Overall: House of the Dead 3 doesnt differ from 1 or 2 but if your your new to games like this i would pick this as your first.
Gameplay: you dont need to buy a Light-Gun to play this game. it plays great with a regualr controller. plays like a 1st Person Shooter but just without the moving forward part.
Graphics: the graphics look great at points. the monsters look great but the human characters need work. the guns also look very good.
Sound: i like the music they play & the voice acting is also pretty good.
Suggestions: i think it would be kinda suite if you made this a full 1st Person shooter & it let you walk around the place.

Overall: its fun at first, but extremely repetative and gets boring FAST, good for parties i guess, but ya, otehr than that, wouldn't recommend buying it
Gameplay: gameplay is also exactly the same thru out the entire game, shoot shoot shoot, shoot some more. Not really much to it.
Graphics: graphics r good, but again, its repetative lol, i'm starting to sound like a broken recod, but it gets the job done.
Sound: voice acting is terrible for starters, and the characters use stupid little cliche type lines, i dunno, yuck.

Overall: Very Little. i guess I got the game and the light gun out of arcade envy. I was never any good or rich or ahd enough time to master this game in the arcade. At first I was please with the sound and action but since playing Halo. This game is amatuerish. It took only a day to finish and I have not played it since. I think the only thing good about the game is to increase the chance of seizures.
Gameplay: Not fit for the Xbox. I know its unfair to compare everything to Halo but this is not even in the same universe. Too linear. Too easy. Too boring.
Graphics: Wow Green blood or Red Blood. Hell Doom had better graphics. Lots of flashing lights. I don't know. This should not be a console game.
Sound: Loud, weak dialogue. I think they did a good job with the Shot gun sound. I figure the USmilitary is using this game to extract information from the Al Queda kingpin they recently caught in Pakistan.
Suggestions: The House of Dead is Dead, Time to develop a new franchise. Let this one rest in arcade peace

Overall: Dispite the horribly short duration of the game, I enjoy this game very much. Even with a controller.
Gameplay: Though compatible with a light gun, I dont have one, yet enjoyed this game alot. Gameplay is no different from the first 2, but for some reason, just seems odd.
Graphics: Great, crisp, solid graphics, pretty good lighting effects, but not so great gun effects. Gore does also look good.
Sound: Well, its not a whole lot; gun, grunting, zombie moans, & voice-overs (absolutly horrible), thats about it.
Suggestions: Better voice-overs, longer game, come with a gun, and more enemies.

Overall: Good not Great, This game was alright i thought it was going to be really fun seeing as how it's the only light gun shooter avaliable up to date but I was wrong. The House of the Dead movie just looked liek a joke(even though i know the movie is really coming out)
Gameplay: The game is your classic mosters attack you shoot them and then you move on. The only cool thing was that when you beat the game you unlock House of the dead 2.
Graphics: For some reason everyone must have master****d never mind, everyone's hands in the game are gigantic. The graphics are pretty cool other than that
Sound: God, i hate the girl in this game she has something annoying to say after every boss battle (example: After defeating the plant monster in the game she says "I was never good at gardening")
Suggestions: I have no idea how to make this better but the game wasn't that fun. try making it either free roaming like HALO or hide and shoot like Time Crisis

Overall: Why did I only play it for 2-56 hours? well it only lasted that long. It was nice that they also added HOTD2 in it, but the game was still abnormally short. for a shoting game, I sure wish it came with a gun... it wasn't too enjoyable with the controller, but i bet it would have been more enjoyable with the gun, but the length of the game is still contreversial.
Gameplay: SHORT. That's the story about the game. Its short. The story in the game is about a chic who's father goes mising, and you have to go find him. You're way in the future, and there are zombies everywhere. On your journey to finding your father, you encounter lots of zombies that pop out in front of you and you must kill. There is a time limit to kill all the zombies in front of you.
Graphics: wicked graphics! Its cel shading, but its done so well that the game looks even better. When you shoot a zombie, individual pieces fly off the zombie and thats sweet. nice environment, and everything is just about right.
Sound: all sega games seen to have corny music right? well this one sort of does too. The zombie sounds are cool, and I think it supports dolby digital, which is perfect for a game that has zombie coming from all angles.
Suggestions: improve length. make is compulury to come with a light gun, b/c i finished the gmae b4 i ever got a chacne to get one!

Overall: This game is what I've always wanted a shooter to be. Fast, gory, and a good plot bring this game to it's fullest. You will hear people ragging on the game because of it's length. Then again, the other 2 games weren't that long. Plus the other two games were also not for console until later. This means they don't have to worry about chewing up your coin! But enough about that. This game is one that everyone should have in there collection, and now on to the review.
Gameplay: Well, the gameplay rocks. Not more can be said. I mean all you really need to know is where your reload button is and where your fire button resides. Let's face it, this game let's you choose routes, which makes it a lot of fun to go through again, and again. HotD3 rocks with a light gun. I have the Mad Catz Light Gun, and man did it feel great chewing up zombies left and right. Well worth buying a gun for.
Graphics: This game has awesome graphics. HotD3 is one of the best games visually you can buy. The addition of choosing what color the blood is makes it fun as well. Nothing like seeing blood spurt out of every crevace your enemy has. I also really loved the level lay-out and design. The monsters were placed well and I felt rushes everytime I went into a room. Models, superb!
Sound: The sound is good. Crisp and clear. It also has some awesome music which add to the anxiety that you are in a rush. Voice acting is well done. I think they actually caught the essence of the person when they modelled and chose the voice actor. Which, by the way, is usually mislead and not used wisely. Overall, the sounds kept me wanting more.
Suggestions: If you make the next one, make it longer. Take the positives out off all three games and put them into one. I know you guys can do it!

Overall: A really short game that could be way better. Also this game is better with the lightgun.
Gameplay: The game is way to short. At least the game has House of the Dead 2 if you beat it that is good.
Graphics: I love the graphics blowing up the zombies. All the blood and gore is really cool. Zombies are very detailed.
Sound: There is nothing much in sound. Pretty lame anyways.
Suggestions: Could be longer.

Overall: Extremely fun and I haven't even bought the gun(s) which I plan to do soon. Nothing like having arcade quality shooter action right in your own living room. Its a great game to bust out every now and then with a friend when you've got half an hour to kill.
Gameplay: The game plays very well the controller but I'm sure using the light gun would pull me into the game more. The games looks great and flows great, in fact it flows a little too fast as the other reviewers have stated 30 minutes and your done. Short but very sweet! Thank god HOTD 2 is included.
Graphics: One of the better looking Xbox games, and the framerate never stutters. You can actually see the background through the holes you make in the zombies, nice touch. The animation was well done and really shines when your fighting the Prison guard boss.
Sound: Average sound, Guns blasting makes up 90% of the game, but what can you expect its a shooter. The voice acting makes for a good laugh or cry depending on the person.
Suggestions: Definitely loooooooooonger!

Overall: Very nice game. It lives up to the "House of the Dead" series. Though this game is very short. I beat it in just about 25 minutes. It's a rental for most people.
Gameplay: Having to use the controller is much better than in "House of the Dead 2" (on Dreamcast)! Controls are set up great. I don't have any problems here.
Graphics: Graphics are great. You can really tell if you go from "HOTD3" to "HOTD2", or the other way. Some of the zombies could have used some work. One thing I will never understand is why when you shot a zombie in the stomach it blows a hole open, that's all most perfect.
Sound: The sound is so-so with me. Seem's like maybe with was rushed in the area. The voice acting isn't all that great, no it sucks if you ask me. When the gun shots and the reloading sounds are nice though.
Suggestions: Very short. Should be atleast twice as long. Good thing that "HOTD2" is on the disc also. More or less what I got the game for. I don't think I'll be keeping this game.

Overall: I loved 2 and 3 is so much better. ITs too short, but the graphics look great. I hope they make more.
Gameplay: The lightgun is so much better to use with this game. The controller also is ok,but not as fun. Its worth buying.
Graphics: The graphics are arcade quality. I like the fast framerates. I think the game is done well. the blur effect when a enemy is to close is nice.
Sound: The sound is great! I like the gun shots sound real and the intro and voice overs are perfect. They did a great job.
