Overall: In anticipation of the original KOTOR release (a long time ago) I bought this game for a budget price hoping to get that ol Jedi feeling before delving into KOTOR. Well obviously this is nothing like that game meaning that KOTOR and KOTOR 2 are fun and challenging while this game is simplistic and frustrating. Dont get me wrong, there is a decent story here and the graphics arent half bad but unless you just gotta own every SW game out there you'd be better off just renting this game or buying it for a budget price like I did.
Gameplay: You play as Kyle Katarn, jaded jedi and all around moody guy. You were once strong with the force but now your just a bitter ex-jedi. Soon you get pulled back into action and thusly begin your way down the road of redemption and relearning. I found the single player campaign very frustrating and a bit lacking in some areas while the multiplayer aspects were pretty cool especially since you can play as a multitude of characters from the SW universe and dramatically lock sabers when dueling which looks cool. But that stuff gets old real quick and makes you wish you could kill real live players via Xbox live and not just cheesy mindless BOTS.
Graphics: Not bad but not groundbreaking either. StarWars games in general never seem to impress me graphically with the exception of the Battlefront series. Not to say that I dont like them. I'm a huge Sci-fi fan so seeing starships and blaster fire always makes me smile.
Sound: Hey what can I say it's Starwars. The music is great as always and sound is probably the only thing that Lucas Arts does right consistantly.
Suggestions: I've never played Jedi Academy but if you guys ever do another jedi specific game it would be cool to play 1st person style again like Chronicles of Riddick or Dark Forces. Then again I guess it would be too hard to see those cool jedi flips that way.

Overall: A good port from the PC makes this a good XBox game. Single player is fun, some levels seem less then interesting. Multiplayer skipps a bit, on some levels, with too many bots, and there aren't all that many Multiplayer levels to play on, but enough to bet by. Music is generic Star Wars stuff, and so are the sound effects; average.
Gameplay: Multiplayer gets skippy on the only multiplayer option, (2-player split screen). Single player never skipps. Single player is well designed, and has some fun puzzles; a challenge. The force powers in Multiplayer add to the crazyness of the gameplay. In Single Player they are fun to gain, and play with.
Graphics: The Quake 3 engine sure looks good, the textures are high quality. The character models look good. The level design seems average, overall: good.
Sound: The generic Star Wars music, and generic Star Wars sound effects, nothing great nothing bad; well done.
Suggestions: Some more optimization of the graphics would have made Multiplayer more efficent.

Overall: Outcast is an action packed and extremely enjoyable experience. Vital to StarWars fans and self-respecting gamers a-like. If you wanted more from Obi-wan, this is the game for you.
Gameplay: In the game you are Kyle Katarn, a jedi who stopped using his forcepowers and lightsaber for personal reasons. But while on a mercenary New Republic mission, his partner Jan Ors is killed, and revenge in on Kyle's mind. At some point during the game you will regain your lightsaber and the ability to use the force, then the fun begins... Action packed gameplay that allows you to traverse large and varied environments across new and familiar StarWars terrain. The ability to use a lightsaber and a huge variety of force powers is extremely entertaining, and the wide variety of lightsaber moves and the process of learning them is fun. The AI is also impressive, the jedi that you fight give great competition, and stormtroopers will try to retreat if their commanding officers are killed. Theres a huge number of weapons to find and use, numerous multiplayer options and a stirring story line to get into along the way. This is a great acheivement for the StarWars franchise.
Graphics: The game was already a little aged when released for Xbox, but the graphics are still up among the best on xbox, esspecially since they run at an incredibly smooth and stable frame rate. The animations during combat esspecially are supurb, the lightsabers of both you and your foes give a satisfying glow. Of more interest though is that the optimisation for Xbox has been done incredibly well, where as gamecube, (the other console to feature the game) struggles to run the game smoothly, Xbox does so with a method close to perfection. The attention to detail is also great, the lightsaber burns melted lines into metal, laser blasts leave burns in walls and the stormtroopers have extremely shiny armour. The graphics definately arent the best but they are good.
Sound: Classic StarWars music and sound effects throughout. As much a master peice of sound as gameplay. It would have benifitted from Dolby Digital though.
Suggestions: The fun of the game in single and multiplayer, aswell as the range of difficulty levels, makes for an experiance thats always fresh, and as replayable as Halo. The sequel, Jedi academy is not only as good, its on LIVE too!!

Overall: Overall....great game. A little repetitive. But. How can you complain....a Jedi first person with great graphics and solid gameplay.
Gameplay: The game play is good enough...but (and maybe its just my controller) but it seems like some of the sniper weapons are difficult to aim with the xbox controller. Other that that....no complaints.
Graphics: Graphics are everything you would expect from a Lucasarts game. good light saber. good renditions of movie aliens. The graphics dont exactly use the xbox's high standards....but they are definitely above average.
Sound: The SOUNDS are really good. The music on the other hand seemed really choppy. Good standard John Williams score....but it just didnt seem to flow in the game...too many cuts and glitches.

Overall: Ummm... This reminded me more of a kid's mind puzzle computer game than a shooter... When you weren't racking your brains out looking for a way to get where you were supposed too (if you even knew where) the game was cool, but that didnt occur very often.
Gameplay: Stick to multi-player. (seriously) The single player is basically you (in the game( running around for ten minutes, then you (in real life) running to your computer to search for a walkthrough for ten minutes. The game is just too much thinking and not enough playing. The multi player is a lot of fun though, using the diffrent weapons and force powers.
Graphics: Pretty good, above average for the xbox.
Sound: Drawing a blank trying to remember the what the sound is like... Guess it wasnt that good...
Suggestions: More action for the thumb, less for the head.

Overall: Well - I have read a lot of negative remarks about that game - especially the single player mode, and must say thats not true. A friend of mine played that game on his laptop and it inticed me right away...it just took about a year that I finally bought it for my x-box (for only 34,- Euro) That was a deal. Great game-play, Graphics are okay, atmosphere is really starwars-like
Gameplay: I would give the gameplay a 5.0 if it were not for the first missions....where you play this game only as a fps. And I have to agree that sometimes the search for the WAY is a bit fruststrating...some of the riddles too. But the happier you are, and the greater your feeling of accomplishment once you got it! Okay..so far to the negative side. The gameplay is really really good once you enter the Jedi-School. First of all the traininglevel there is a good idea, and it shows this game really takes some brain to accomplish it. This game keeps you going and going for many many ours. It now happened to me the second time that I played it till 3 in the morning although I had to work the other day - its just great learning to use more and more powers. (Holding a dark-sided Jedi up in the air with your choke gripp and then letting the good side win by throwing your light saber at him at the same time :) )
Thrilling - gives your the star wars feeling - very challenging - and takes much grips, making it more than just a good action game
Graphics: Graphics are okay..but nothing special (when compared to splinter cell)
the "movies" are more or less quite crappy.
Sound: Very good. (just the enemies make too much noise when breething their last breth).
Light saber is cool
Suggestions: Give more clues and hints with the ri like a card would be very helpfull (even if you have to aquire it somewhere and you dont have it right at the beginning).
Continue making good action games that take some brain, and arent just senseless shooting. I hope JK III will be a good continuation. Looking forward to it.

Overall: This game is not usually the type of gamr I would purchase. I checked it out though and I liked it. I haven't finished the game yet and I may not but it is a fun little adventure. I like everything about the game even the puzzles although some of them took a little figuring out.
Gameplay: The gameplay is fun and once you start a round you will play two. The movement of the game is good, it has sort of flow to it once you get started. It is not like RTCW, but it is a good game.
Graphics: The visuals are very well done in this game. I think it is xbox caliber I just think that it could be better if someone just applied themselves to it.
Sound: Excellent sounds. You can hear everything, even the voice acting is decent in this game. I don't see any problems in this area.
Suggestions: Challenge the xbox graphically like splinter cell did. I holla!

Overall: Except for a few glitches and some poor quality cut-scenes, this game was rather fun. It had long, complex and challenging levels rather than mindless hacking and slashing. One of the principle components of the Star Wars universe was that the great heroes had to outsmart the villians. It was also nice to have a game where your character grows and learns, and must overcome his mistakes, that's called LIFE, and it is something we should all remember.

The gameplay was decent, even though the controls took some getting used to. The graphics were incredible in both 1st person and 3rd person modes, and like I said, with the exception of the cut-scenes, I was very impressed visually,, especially with the actions of the weapons.

All in all, I loved this game and will most likely buy it.
Gameplay: As I said above, once I got used to the controls, it was relatively smooth sailing. I do admit however, that changing Force Powers in the heat of battle was rather tough, and it would have been nice to combine some of them, but that's petty whining on my part.

If I had my way though, I'd rather have the Force Power menu on a different key then my inventory, just a suggestion.

The multiplayer mode looks great as well, no changes there.
Graphics: Amazing graphics during gameplay!...I don't really know how else to say it. The lighting, the movements, the environments, all of which were very impressive. All except for the movies, the faces of everyone but Jan looked rather lame. Especially the female Rebel leader. All other parts were just fine, from the Force Lightning, to the detail on weapons, to the droids, all were amazing.

Sound: Blasters, droids, light saber action, even the voices were nice, and having the actual Star Wars music was a nice touch. It was nice to have an official LucasFilm Arts game rather than some knockoff.
Suggestions: Just fix the cut-scenes, and make another one. Mindless games are for morons. Real gamers with real intelligence play REAL games!

Overall: Before i begin to explain the story, i will give you a short background of the hero.
Kyle Katarn is a man who has seen all sides of the Force. He
has served in the special operations division of the Imperial Army,
as a Rebel Alliance agent and also as a Jedi Knight. Born on Sulon,
the moon of Sullust, Kyle came from farmer stock and had a close-knit
family. But while training at the Imperial Academy, he has been a victim of a
blow assembled against him. In fact, an Imperial notification tricked him into believing
his parents were killed in a Rebel Ambush. Vowing for revenge against the Alliance,
Katarn joined the special operation division of the Imperial
Army. However, he soon learned the true face of the Empire and his hatred grew for its
underhanded ways. Katarn ended his Imperial service when he elected to help Jan Ors
escape from their clutches. Freed from his Imperial post, Katarn turned into a
mercenary for hire. Along with Ors, he vowed to help the Alliance fight against the
Empire. So let explain the story ! Several years have passed since Kyle avenged his father's death and saved
the Valley of the Jedi from Jerec and his band of Dark Jedi. Allowing his Force
powers to languish for fear of falling to the Dark side, Kyle set aside his
lightsaber, vowing never to use it again. But when a new and menacing threat
to the galaxy emerges, Kyle knows he must reclaim his past in order to save
his future. In fact, eight years have passed since the defeat at the Battle
of Endor and the New Republic still struggles to restore
order and vanquish its enemies. After defending the Valley
of the Jedi, former Jedi Knight Kyle Katarn
has severed his connection with the Force and returned to his
mercenary ways. With his longtime partner, Jan Ors, Kyle continues
to aid the Republic in the fight against the Imperial
Remnant. As the Remnants launches its latest gambit to regain control
of the galaxy, Kyle and Jan have been sent by the New Republic to
investigate the planet Kajim, home to a long-dead Imperial outpost and
that were you begin your journey ! To summarize, Jedi knight 2 can offers to gamer a real good lasting appeal with a
multiplayer that they should not forget so soon, but still have minor lack in the solo campaign
and especially in videos. Finally this game was a must have for all star wars fan but in my
mind, i am a little bit too bored of those product about the novels.
Gameplay: In Star Wars Jedi Knight 2, you must press A to jump, B to use your
lightsaber, Y to use an item and X does nothing like the black and
the white button. Also if you push the control pad on the top direction, you can circle
through your force power, bottom if you want to check your item
and left / right to switch to an another weapon. Finally, you can click
on the two thumbstick maybe for crouching or simply to use your
force power. Naturally the right trigger is to shoot or to use your lightsaber and the left
one is the secondary fire like when you have played Unreal Championship.
After you saw the famous Star Wars introduction, you are immediatly submerged
into the action. My first impression was that i wasn't able to believe that they
done a really good first person shooter with the Star Wars series. But
what have made this game so interresting ? The force power are a great element that increase
the gameplay in this Sr Wars because in the first
one, called Obi-Wan, they were not enough, so the gameplay was looking a bit too similar.
What could be better than pushing or pulling an ennemy, choke or constrict an opponent, incapacitate
a trooper with a lightning bolt, jump higher, run faster, heal ourself from your injuries or see through minds ?
In fact, everything was looking perfect until i saw the ennemies's artifical intelligent. Imagine, when you are
in a total warfair with a few trooper,
the only thing they seem to do is to stay on the middle of the action with the hope of hitting you
or beeing shooted. Naturally as you increase the difficulty, they get a better
accuracy, but they still stay there. With an artificial intelligent like that,
you can do a old method which consist as trapping them one by one as they exit
the room to search you. They know how to stay somewhere like a decorative objet but they
must remember that they are not alone. Do not be surprised if someone hate your game with this only argument,
because what made Halo so impressive is probably the ability for the ennemies to protect or help their fellow-members
when necessary. Also when you or they are dying, the characters are trying do so cool moves like back flip, flip
and roll, but it's look too much unrealistic, so you must erase them and put a classic dead.
An other strong point is the lightsaber. I know that you don't have it until you pass a couple a level and it was also
in Obi Wan but when you got it, you can protect yourself, throw it, make some breaking lines
on wall and make the experience of the game even better.
The only thing i disagree with the develloper is when you must smash on the right trigger to
engage yourself in a combat situation. It was a
lot better to manoeuvre the lightsaber with the thumbtick because it
offers a lot more possibility of touching a different part of the body
than smashing a button for something who was been randomly decide.
But the strongest point is that it is not really a
linear first person shooter, because in some places you must think a lot about what you must do or where you
should go. Then after i try the single player, i was ready for some multiplayer mayhem action but without any big hope.
Fortunately, i was wrong. You can play with fourteen bots, you can decide how strong your character will be with a
custom point maker, if you want only a lightsaber
or gun battle and really much more... Sorry for those you are waiting for a four player split screen
who is pretty cool because it is only a two player action.
In the multiplayer, you can play in free for all, in holocron FFA ( free for all ) where
you must collect some cubes to increase the power of you character and make him win by killing the most people,
jedi master where only one is a jedi and must destroy everyone to gain point, duel who look like survival in
Unreal Championship, team FFA and capture the flag.
All this stuff goes with a really long lasting appeal that will take at least two week.
In conclusion for this part, i will say that the multiplayer is really good,
the lightsaber fight is a must, the force power make the game more interresting,
but they need to work on ennemies's articial intelligent.

Graphics: Jedi Knight 2 combine great environment and character model to the same screen,
but he can suffer at time, in jedi arena, by a huge framerate and floppy visual.
The real problem is the grany effect they put on cinematic, it look like it
has been done too fast.
Sound: The sound will always be the strength of LucasArt, and with a good voice acting,
an immersive sound effect and the Star Wars theme that never seen to get old,
i think you can't get more !
Suggestions: Nice Work and if you really need some suggestion, begin to read my review !

Overall: This game is an excellent value for three reasons. 1) it takes a LONG time to finish this game. It took me almost 1.5 months of sporadic playing to get through it. 2) the story line is good enough that you will stay interested long enoungh to finish it. Having the main antagonist kick your butt and take your girl early in the game sets up a revenge motif that is brought to a good conclusion in the climactic battle. 3) JEDI ARENA is a fun multiplayer battle game (with 'bots) which will give you some good replay value.
Gameplay: When the game starts, you won't be impressed. It's basically a average 1st person shoot 'em up with some annoying puzzle type situations (i.e., you could walk around for hours looking for a little switch or a lift that you missed). But later, after you get a light saber and force powers, this game becomes a heck of a lot of fun. Light saber duels rock!
Graphics: Very, very average graphics. This game screams "PORT". Takes advantage of none of the green boxes advanced capabilities. I assume the cut scenes were made to look grainy on purpose????
Sound: Excellent. The hum of the light sabers, the zip of the phasers, and much of the original movie music are all excellent. The voice acting (who really cares?) is adequate.
Suggestions: These graphics suck! The XBOX deserves better.

Graphics: This game looks great and has some surprisingly good textures espesially considering its about a year old.
Sound: what could be better than light sabers peircing the air all around you in dolby 5.1? answer NOTHING! all the sound in this game is straight from the films and it includes 44 star wars songs from ep 4,5,6 thats right 44 including the imperial march and of course the main theme to name a couple.

Overall: If your a Star Wars freak you need to add this game to your collection. The game gets real addicting once you get your Jedi Powers and Light Saber back.
Gameplay: The controls work well on Xbox Controller and don't take long to get comfortable with. I do wish there where more options for button configuration but oh well. Overall the game plays well and will suck you into its universe if you get it sometime. I have found some of the puzzles quite hard, but that may just be me.
Graphics: Very good, good textures, nice detail on enviroments. You really fell like your in the Star Wars universe. The only gripe I have is some occasional framerate loss.
Sound: Awesome as usual with a Lucas Arts Star Wars game. Kick !&%$@#* music and sound effects right out of a Star Wars film.

Overall: This game has a very cool multiplayer. Probably the highlight of the game, unless you like running around in circles then this game is for you. Not only will you enjoy running around in circles looking for clues but you'll get this treat in just about every level!
Gameplay: The multiplayer is where is at, you could play with weapons or lightsaber only. Each mode has it's different levels. Also available is jedi master where you fight over poscession of the lightsaver. The AI is great and if you love star wars and have someone to play with you'll have a blast playing this MultiPlayer.
Graphics: The graffics are there. Wether your running around in circles or fighting your buddies you'll have plenty of eye candy.

Overall: I was really impressed with this game. While every game has it's bugs and limitations, this one has it's share as well. But they are not that bad and this game is def worth a rental just to give it a try.
Gameplay: Gameplay went very smoothly. Sure, sure, at some points in the game it can get kinda frustrating, not knowing where to go and what to do (as the game sometimes gives you little information to go on). However, that being said, if the game just handed you all the info, marked everything on a map and gave you all the keys, we'd complain that it was too easy ;) Some have said that you have to use a strategy guide just to get past level one. This is not true. I got to level 4 without a strategy guide. So it is a good combination of stragtegy/thinking and 1st person action. I especially like the force abilities, gives you more of a feeling of personal control over your character.
Graphics: Graphics were nicely done as well. I love how the lightsaber interacts with walls, doors, people... :) Nice job done here in this department.
Sound: Sound is classic Star Wars through and through. From music to sound, you can expect just the right touch to enhance your Jedi Knight 2 experience.

Overall: I had hopes for this game and after reading the magazine reviews I bought it. This was a mistake, I should have rented it first. After many, many hours of frustrating single player game play, I sold it. The level design is poor with silly waste of time things to be done, many which are not clear and leave you running around in frustrating circles long after you shot everyone dead- just to find a tiny lever or edge walk that you missed
Gameplay: As above, its gameplay is poor. The sounds are great and the stormtrooper graphics are cool. Very fun to shoot them. But, the light saber controls are very frustrating and poorly designed. Also two player split screen mode leaves too little of the screen visible to have decent light saber battles.
Graphics: Needs a lot better bump mapping. Up close graphics of walls and computer terminals are very fuzzy. Excellent character animations though and excellent blaster graphics
Sound: Excellent surround sound and music. Blasters sound great and voice acting is very good. I liked this part the best

Overall: This is the best star wars game, period!!! This is one of the best FPS I have ever played. Halo is the ONLY FPS that is better. This game is that good. It is about time a game comes out that lives up to the gigantic expectations of "STAR WARS". This game is a must buy for any fan of STAR WARS or any fan of action/FPS!!
Gameplay: The gameplay is great. The movement is very good. The button config. works very well. There are lots of mini puzzles to mix up the shootem up action. This game is just overall a GREAT game!!! STAR WARS games do not have a good track record, but this game does the saga proud. A must buy! 4 player multi. is needed in this otherwise excellent game. It only offers 2 player action.
Graphics: The graghics are wonderful. FPS at its best(besides HALO). You really feel that you are in the STAR WARS universe! Crist, clean environments, as well as the characters. The cut scenes need a little work, but the in game visuals are great.
Sound: What would a STAR WARS game be wiyhout the proper sounds. JEDI OUTCAST does not dissapoint. From the classic STAR WARS music to the blast of a blaster rifle, the sound is TRUE STAR WARS. You can't go wrong with that!! You feel like you are playing an accual movie.
Suggestions: Put system link in, Put 4 player action in, and make the sequal!! Thanks for a REAL Star Wars game!!
